If you owned a business and you paid one particular person millions of dollars every year because he was a decent worker and had the potential to be a solid (not great) worker, could you see still see yourself paying (higher salary from the previous 4 years) him 5 years later and still hoping for him to come around? I think not, let's face it he's no better than he was in his second year.

Though we are not paid millions, I'm sure we all make more in our fifth year of employment than our fourth year....

And as an employer, I would rather keep the worker that I know over hiring a new one....

Employers used to have a certain loyalty to their workers in the world that I grew up and lived in....

It shouldn't always be all about the almighty dollar all the time!....

But I realize today, an employer would rather contract out services so he can make a bigger profit....but I hate to see that happen...

There should be some loyalty!

Perhaps thats one of the biggest things that is wrong with our society today?

Maybe You and I might choose to run our business differently?

You know?...

BTW ...I think it was a shame too that Leon Powe wasn't offered a contract by a team who he helped get it's latest championship...I doubt that that would have happened back along?......but so it goes....

Not sure if anyone can answer this, but do all those extra bodyguards we have to hire to keep this fool alive count against the cap?

I doubt that the C's or any other professional team in any sport pay for any of the player's personal affairs....my guess is the teams pay a dollar figure...and the player pays for his own personal expenses...I don't believe thats up to the team to pay for Tony's protection...(if he even has this?)

I'm sure this inner city gangster crap is not covered in the basic contract....though certainly it would be smart for Allen to no longer associate with those people who cause him trouble.....or frequent places where this trouble presents itself....I'm sure the court has requested this of him....

All players have to grow up sooner or later....heck all people do!

He hasn't found any trouble in awhile...hopefully thats all over with!

Tony Allen has lost his footing in the NBA and his d.
Dude could d up some good players.
When Eddie House came here Tony had the edge, but when Eddie started playing hustle d and could spell the point better he got the pt.
Allen gets hurt a lot and whatever he did or didn't do outside the court doesn't matter. It makes it a little harder to hide weakness when everyone is looking at you and from that stand point I agree with who ever wrote, doesn't hurt to have him doesn't hurt not too.

Throwing out an idea would Celtics fans consider most

Celtics Tony Allen and 2010 1st or 2nd rounder

for

Clippers-TPE (Z-Bo trade)

I Rasual Butler becomes the starter for our team we need someone who can back-up Eric Gordon. While I haven't lost complete faith in Ricky D I would like to have the extra insurance.

I think the Celtics would do that in a heartbeat.
