I think Kobe will try and tell him not to let the things bother him and fight with players and use what happened to help him. I also think Ron will respect the hell out of him even more for battling with him and not backing down one bit. He already respected him basketball wise to the max and Kobe proved he isn't afraid of anybody.
He has also called himself a Pippen and Kobe is like Jordan.

Ron has that bad rep for thinking he is the best on the team and take bad shots but honestly he arguably was the best player on all his other teams. I don't think he will think he is better then Kobe and if there is anybody he will submit to it's Kobe.
I just hope he doesn't want to take the 2nd most shots. 3rd I can live with as long as Gasol is 2nd.
Some will say Bynum needs his shots but I think he should play alot with the second unit and be the go to guy. Not come off the bench but if he plays half the time with the bench he can get alot of shots and refine his offense.
If he starts off beasting it though that changes alot.

Truth be told your buddy is a DUMMY. Seriously...........I think it's a reach on most fans who aren't Laker fans, you're hoping and wishing and praying that it fails. Bottom line is the man wanted to come here and management wanted him. Case close.

I have to agree, although I wouldn't call him a dummy just wrong.

I think if Artest implodes or takes to many shots or doesn't anything bad Kobe will take him aside and the problem will be settled right away. I think Ron is mattured and his emotional problems are in the past. He is still original but not crazy and even has a good heart which I didn't know until he become linked to us.

Its so many Lakers haters out here it's incredible. Shaq went to the cavs, VC went to the magic, RW went to the celtics... but nobody is saying that those teams might have issues are chemistry problems, but everybody want's to say because kobe & artest had competitive battles, the chemistry is not going to work.

Lets see about this other teams: Everywhere Shaq has went he's butted heads with the other teams superstar, RW is the tech. foul king which has hurt his teams, and VC is pretty much a hotdog. But all i here is that the chemistry with the Lakers is going to be a issue because of Ron Artest. Sounds to me like the league is scared, sounds to me like a repeat is on the horizan.

Vince Carter isn't a hot dog. As a matter of fact quite the opposite. He needs to be more selfish and take it to the rack and jam alot more. Settling for jumpers doesn't make you a hot dog.

To me this this thread is absolute KARMA! I started a thread a few days back on how other posters come on to our board & bash us for any little reason they can think of or find a way to create a thread that pokes at us in some kind of way. Most other boards I visit usually don't go for that if they see its not much of a basis behind the argument. My thread was inexplicably locked for asking a simple question of why do other posters come in here & do this. True to my words, here it is agian. BRAVO!!!!

Yuppppppppp. Its the success that they are fearing, not chemistry.
How many players that other teams wouldnt touch have ended up on the Lakers and have made great contributions to this teams success? You think if P.J can deal with Rodman, Shaq, Smush, etc..... he cant deal with Ron??? Ron has already shown interest will to sacrafice a lot to be on this team. Now he has taken it upon himself and NOBODY is pushing him to do anything, yet he is busting his arse to get ready for this up and coming season ON HIS OWN. So we know the dedication is there.

All I can say is skip all the haters and the non believers. Like I have said many times, success brings envy and envy brings jelousy. What did you guys think that Cs, Cavs, Spurs or other fans would be on here telling us that we are going to be successful, that we have the best lineup in the league, that we have the best player in the league or the best coach??

Realistically we dont have anything yet, we need to play a few games before we start talking about success and failures of this team. Sure we have the same lineup as we did from our title last year less Ariza, and we added Ron.

Ron's success, his ability to adapt, or his contribution is questionable at this time, but so far in the offseason he has shown a lot of positive things that tells me as a fan that we are on the right track with him, and he defiantly is going to be more than ready to help this team win back to back.

All I can say is Im not counting my chickens right now until I see how good this team plays in the next few months. After that, you can say whatever you want about Ron or the Lakers, but for now skip all the negative garbage being thrown our way and ignore the negative remarks and lets focus on the good things in this up and coming season.

That's all it is Butter! That's all it is. Everyone is waiting on Artest to explode & he really hasn't shown that in a long time. The only reason he was ejected from the playoff game against the Lakers is because Crawford mistakenly thought he was doing a throat slash when in fact he was just trying to show him that Kobe elbowed him in the neck area. Like you said though, its funny how Sheed can go to Boston & everyone just automatically thinks he's going to get the Nobel Peace Prize.

Or maybe who give a HOOT. I agree with ankles since I have reed a lot of garbage directed to myself, the Lakers and our fan base, but in reality it is what it is. All we can do as fans is take what is dished out and if you speak on it then you get warned suspended and banned, I know I've been there many many times, but I come to realize that arguing with idiots isnt going to prove anything ( thanks to Erik Eleven, Phil X, Flash3, Blame Rasho, DD ) but get you in trouble and flame everybody up to hate you and your fan base even more.................... But you know what??? Sometimes its all worth it to SAY IT LIKE IT IS, but most of the time........... SKIP IT let it go, you will never win an argument on the internet.

I think Artest will be his favorite teammate and vice versa. Gasol I love and Bynum and Odom to but sometimes they don't show up. Gasol has been consistant in the playoffs though and has gotten tougher I will say that but Artest and Kobe are the most competetive and them 2 will always put it all out on the court and are truwarriors.

Agreed Tony, I usually offer facts & try to stay away from internet arguments, but what's idiotic about it to me is when we come together as fellow Laker fans as to get an understanding on why this happens amongst each other & why it doesn't seem to happen on other boards & the thread gets locked for personal vendetta or other wise.
