Yeah it was good. the 22 hours laying down must have been hard. I actually liked that he says that he still has confidence in the team to win 60 games, and I also thought it was interesting that he described Nash and Hill as the leaders of the team, it was kinda the opposite of what we're used to hearing from him. Good stuff!

Actually I think it goes hand in hand with what he said earlier...."It's not my job to lead the team, don't blame me when things go wrong, I'm not the captain"(paraphrasing)

Even with all the money he has, it's hard to lie face down for 22hours a day for 10 days. There's only so much inactivity a person could take.

I am the furthest thing from an Amare apologist -- but I think he's going to be a beast this season

Not a bad interview. I think he was trying to come off as a nice guy since the media has trashed his name since he got hurt and all the trade rumors. I think he will have a great year. Hope everyone can actually stay healthy.

If Amare is healthy, then in Shaq's absence, there's no reason not to expect 24+ ppg from him... and in all likelihood, 26+ ppg. The Suns don't have Marion, they don't have Shaq, they have Nash, Richardson and Barbosa as the main non-Amare scorers, so he's going to get a lot of shots and he's going to score a lot as a result.

I figure 26/9, 27/9 from Amare.

I was just thinking, now that we no longer have a complimentary rebounder in Trix, Shaq and KT, doesn't that open up more rebounding opportunties for Amare?

I expect 24/11/1.5 from Amare. We have no other scoring option in the front court other than Amare, so I could see teams double teaming him on every possession, and seeing how Barbosa and JRich are rarely on the court together, the defense only has to focus on one of the two.

That's because he never bothers the challenge Shaq, Trix or any other rebounding big for boards. Now that he has no one, there will be more loose rebounds for him to pick up.

Unless Frye averages a career high in rebounds or something, Amare is likely going to be our leader in rebounding, which is sad.
