So the question is...who, from Memphis, would best fit with the Pacers?

If that report is true (doubtful) Steven Hunter makes sense, everyone else on their team is young or has a large salary.

No one.

If Memphis is the third team, then we're looking for the Trade Exception and maybe a 2nd round pick.

Boston sends Tony Allen and $3mm cash to Memphis, receives Marquis Daniels.

Memphis sends a 2nd round pick to the Pacers, receives $3mm and Tony Allen

Indiana sends Marquis Daniels to Boston, receives Trade Exception and 2nd round pick.

It may also work with one of the young guys like Giddens or Walker, or some small player, but the Pacers don't really want to take on any salary. We'd be happier with an exception that we might be able to use later.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

I'd really like Walker. But a trade exception and a 2nd rounder wouldn't be too bad.

TPE or don't make a trade for me. Wouldn't argue with an extra 2nd with it.

I'd do the TE and a 2nd but does that mean that if we get a Giddens or Walker that there would be no TE?

I don't really think we could rob the Griz a high-caliber player, especially if Boston will still insists on their offer of Allen and Scalabrine.
Boston has to sweeten their offer to attract other teams, no GM's really that insane enough to like their garbage.
Anyways, it's Boston on the clock and i don't really think the pressure is on Indiana's side.

Boston paper mentions Walker today. that's the first time I remember seeing his name.

Well it's all relative to the size of Quis' S & T contract. We have room to push it to 3m+ IF for some reason it makes sense. I would probably imagine that something in the 2.2m range would be sufficient, in which case if we were to obtain Giddens on his own, we would net roughly a 1.2m TPE or Walker would make roughly a 1.5m TPE.
