Detroit will win by a touchdown (example 24-17) over cleveland
Detroit will contine their unbeating streak in preseason 4-0 last year 2-0 this year if they win.
Defence Wins Championships,we need to return to the Bad Boy era.

Matty Stafford will be starting....something tells me that if he plays well he will be named the starter next week for the regular season

Stafford will start and I'm expecting a good showing for him. Still don't know who all will be out. CJ was expected to start, but according to Seifert on ESPN, Johnson is expected to miss this game as well. Either way, we need guys to step up.

Game at 7:30 pm and will be airing on WWJ.

I wish this game were televised in Japan (although looking at the score, maybe I don't).
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.

Why?

If he makes this team that would be bad news for Hanson. How can you root against a legend like Hanson for a substandard kicker?

Are you asking me? I'm a Detroit sports junkie, football and baseball are my 2 greatest passions in life. I'm also a big Pistons/Red Wings fan as well, but I'm over the top obsessed with the game of football and baseball. Why do you ask?

Not just me.. everyone. You're 'smarter' than everyone. You know more than the coaches and managers and everyone in the organization. You even make your own statistics to rank players (in which had Marcus Thames being the best Tiger, so we know how accurate that it).

When did I say Marcus Thames was the best Tiger? I've always picked Cabrera to be the best Tiger, his numbers don't lie.

And I don't think it's fair for you to elect the honor of speaking for everybody, that's not how the world works.

I don't profess to know more in life than another person, that's just too vague and open-ended and inadequate to say in general. I know what my strengths are and my weaknesses, and I don't go around touting about how I'm better than others at stuff that I'm not, only on the things that I am. Do you think people bash Usain Bolt if he claims to be able to run faster than 99.9% of the people? How about if he said he was smarter than 99.9% of the people? Do you see the difference? I only brag about that which I am good at, and that which I can back up when called out on it. I'm fair and objective and honest, and I don't make things up and pretend I'm bigger than I'm not.

Nah, I'm not a robot. Although logically if I were a robot and it was built into my programming such that I was unable to have the realization that I was a robot, then I could be mistaken. However, I have had many times where I have been injured and cut and there was blood, thus if anything I would be a cyborg as opposed to a robot. So I'm pretty darn sure I'm not a robot.

Although, it is possible that if I were a robot and it was of the utmost importance to my programmers to not allow me to deduce that of which I am, then they theoretically could have implanted misleading visual sensors within my optical array to fool me into thinking that what I am seeing during a cut is blood, when in fact it could just be a robotic lubricant.

I'll just chance it and play the perceived odds that my instincts, whether robotic or human, suggest, and thus declare that I am not a robot.

The good:
DeAndre Levy looked real good in the 2nd half, big hits and good awareness.
Dane Looker is a capable reserve WR--he just took Colbert's job
Swayze Waters nailed that 50 yarder. Too bad his kickoffs didn't go past the 10
Dan Loper impressed again in run blocking
Stanton was the best QB on the field for either team all night
Kevin Smith ran hard and generally effectively

The bad:
Stafford looked like a greenhorn rookie. Missing high and staring down the wideouts. He needs to learn to throw the ball away when he's throwing the ball away. Growing pains, we knew these were coming!
The starting tackles were awful, just awful. Granted the Browns were fired up and played well, but the pass blocking has got to improve.
Buchanon had a rough night, a step slower than the ATL game. The Bucs coaches were right--he's a guesser, not an instinctive cover guy. Sigh.

The ugly:
The 1st string DL got annihilated by a pretty good Browns OL. When Jamal Lewis can run free for 6 yards without getting touched you know you're getting licked. Other than Dwayne White this group gets pushed around way too easy, just like last year.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

^ agreed with all of it, Icness.

Levy looks good out there. Much more mobile and agile than I was anticipating. He was all over the field and really made his presence known.

Our secondary sucked. Just sucked.

Why didn't we run Aaron Brown for the punt returns? how many times can Cason get tackled inside of 10 yards before you put a real run threat out there?

I know we've had injuries, but our WRs have sucked so far. DJ Boldin/Derrick Williams had a couple nice catches, but so far it's been run or nothing for the Lions in the preseason. Colbert can be cut now please.

Can't wait to see Pettigrew, but Heller and Butler have looked solid so far.

I just want to see the full team out there. I want to see Receiver options available. I want to see PR who can actually run out there. I want a solid blocking TE out there.
