but still leads the nl in era and strikeouts...does he have a good chance to win cy young? logic says of course, but i cant remember the last time a 15 game winner won it.
look at clemens in 2005...far and away the best pitcher but didnt get the wins, and bartolo colon wins it with like twice the era

He won't win the CY again unless he wins all his last starts with shutouts. They won't give it twice in a row to an under-20 wins guy unless the stats are irresistible. And he'll split votes with Cain from local (West Coast) writers.

I don't think anyone would vote Cain over Lincecum, but regardless, Carpenter will win the Cy Young. He'll be on a first place team with better or at least comparable ERA and WHIP numbers and more wins. Timmy will have more K's but that's about it.
