All-Time Draft Voting: Votes Due by midnight EST Saturday

Post#1 » by Finger Roll » Wed Aug 19, 2009 10:02 pm

In the winner's bracket, we have:

bryant08 (1) vs. Gremz (8)
TMACFORMVP (2) vs. poopdamoop (7)
Warspite (3) vs. Finger Roll (6)
Snakebites (4) vs. CellarDoor (5)

And, in the consolation bracket:

bringbackhoffa (11) vs. Booz (14)
BlackIce (12) vs. calderon13 (13)

MJallday59 (9) and vct33 (10) have first-round byes in the consolation bracket.

The four winner's bracket teams who lose in round 1 will also be in the consolation bracket in round 2.

Please be preparing your writeups; a separate thread will be created shortly.

What's the separate thread for if we've got this one? Is this for voting only or something then?

You may want to put a clock on this.

I don't think anybody wants to be first.

^We're voting on this?

My understanding was that there were appointed judges not in this competition (ronnymac and shawngoat).

Or are they just additional voters?

In theory the people in this competition would have a conflict, voting on potential later competitors.

What should we do regarding Gremz?

Quite honestly I didn't read it. If that's the case I'll delete my post for now. I'm just used to ATLs where we vote on them ourselves in some fashion.

Considering your team is the higher seed and we have no write-up to dissuade those initial feelings, I'd say you essentially get a bye

Yeah, I've heard some conflicting stuff with regards to that. We'll have to wait for final say. I will contemplate my voting with regards to the other two matchups in the even that that that is indeed what is happening.

I think with Gremz we have no choice but to offer a buy. We COULD see if one of the higher ranked teams in the consolation bracket wants to take up the eight seed, but a lot of them kinda vanished.

^That also throws off next round's seeding for the consolation bracket.

Alternatively, I can do a "write-up" for Gremz' team as well I suppose. I got injured last night and cant do my normal routine tonight anyhow.

I was under the impression that all 14 GMs and 2-5 judges would vote.

The Integrity of the GMs 1-8 IMHO is unquestioned and I dont believe there would be a conflict of interest simply because its about matchups and a great matchup for 1 rd rarely carries over for another.

Hey, if thats how it is usually done, thats fine.

I will wait to hand in my own votes until all writeups are in. May as well do them all in one post, so as to make things easier.

As for Gremz, I'm fine with someone else taking over his writeup. I'm also fine with giving bryant08 a bye.

Finger hasn't been seen in a while (and I mean in this board OR on instant messanger. Hopefully he'll be back soon and we can expect a writeup from him shortly. I'd hate to see him miss his own deadline.

If we could decide on whether I get the bye or not that would be much appreciated. I've just started my write-up and am wondering as to whether I should finish it.

Hey, just letting you guys know that I'll be judging whatever you want me to, but I'd like someone to specifically remind me and tell me which matchups to judge.

In the ATL that I'm currently in, third-party judges jump in after the judges who are also participating in the ATL have stopped voting. Is that the way you want this to work?

Personally I don't really care when you judge. Frankly in general I feel like we haven't gotten a whole lot of clarity in this regard from the man running this thing. As far as I'm concerned I don't see an issue with you voting before or after anyone.

I'm still waiting on one last rebuttal because I don't want to offer a vote until I've seen everything that everyone has to offer (Warspite still hasn't posted a rebuttal). If he doesn't feel he needs one I'll go ahead and cast my votes now (if thats how we're rolling with this).

I'd say wait until the official go ahead, but Finger has been surprisingly scarce around there lately.

I'm with Snakebites in the lack of information, and i'm not excited about the idea of waiting for more clarification. Shawn, I'd say go ahead and vote on the three match-ups that have write-ups (Snakebites/Cellardoor, Poopdamoop/TMACFORMVP, Warspite/Fingerroll) if you can and we'll have the participants votes on the other match-ups too. For the most part I know and/or trust all the others to be fair regardless of what's on the road in front of them.

Yeah, definitely post the stuff whenever you get the time and inclination to do so.

I'll probably post my votes and reasoning later today. Looks like Cellar and I only get to vote on 2 matchups this round.
