Flip Murray Video

Post#1 » by AtlBo » Mon Aug 24, 2009 7:37 pm

Hope the Hawks are able to resign Flip Murray. If so, they can focus on trading Jamal Crawford for a big player, if such a trade becomes necessary, which I believe it will. Two scorers, he and Joe, at the same position can't possibly last llong for the Hawks. I'm fairly certain that the Hawks' contract extension offer to Joe Johnson will be signed before long, $64 million over 4 years, with the news that the salary cap will go down next year (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4312837) and since the offer seems to be a very good one based on the news. Action on the Joe Johnson front means even moreso Flip would be a real help if/when Crawford is traded. The Hawks would have some real leverage around the league to find the right player in exchange for Jam, since they wouldn't be in NEED of a guard. Here's the video:

Trade Crawford for a bigger player? Don't you think that the Warriors didnt try that? No one wants him. Absolutely no one. At least, not at this contract. If the Hawks management really wanted to have Flip back, he would already have been signed by now. Yes, he was effective as a scorer off the bench, a role that Crawford should fill even better. Man, you worry too much.
