I actually had the privelage of meeting both of the Klitschko brothers back in the days. Great guys and very commited to excellence. If anybody can toughen up Lamar more its Vitali. Hopefully next time he doesnt smack K.G he knocks his arse out.

Thats awesome. My dad is a fan of both Klitschko brothers and I started following them a few years back because of him. I never knew that LO had any interest in boxing.

I'm all for working out, just hope this isn't on the daily, Did the tell Odom to become more aggressive on the yearly exit interviews???

Please be working on that 3 pointer Lamar, as well as the hook, jab and uppercut...

Why not train with a ufc guy? It's obviously better.

and risk injury??? not smart.... I'd rather Lamar stick to punching bags and skipping rope, etc than grappling, possibility of really getting hurt...

I know the styles that is used in UFC and cage fighting, but I dont think thats the route Lamar was looking for. The training that Lamars going through is basically for his endurance and stamina as well as speed with a boxer as well as boxing. As far mixed martial arts (UFC) isnt going to serve his purpose and I really dont think that Lamar is training to become a boxer and your never going to see a 6.11 man training to become a cage fighter or put somebody in submission and like dj said the last thing we want to see is Lamar getting injured grappeling or kicking someone and shattering his knee.

matt leinart.

as far as the ufc vs. boxing, they're just training for endurance/stamina, doesn't really matter which one. and like tony said, 6'10" lanky lamar probably isn't made for rolling around on the ground.

I'm not sure Shaq is any more suited for rolling around on the ground, but he has trained MMA for some time.

I'm sure either could be a good workout.

Ya he trains with Jonathan Burke in the offseason, he has been for a while even when he was with the Lakers, but its mostly a combination of boxing and Tai Kwan Do, more of striking than grappling techniques cause your never going to get a big M.F like Shaq on the ground. IMPOSSIBLE.
The only person that I know of that lifted and SLAMMED his arse down on the ground was Barkley.

good move by LO this should help him prepare mentally and should also help him with his breathing thereby increasing his stamina - both of which should benefit his game!

It's all good. i should of figured you really did think it was drex, your more of a come at you head on type of guy not a little jaber lol.

Anyway you make alot of good points and the boxing matches are longer so you very well could be right but ufc just seems to work everything (not that boxing doesnt) idk boxing but I know ufc.
