Beasley has more talent. If he gets the help he needs, it's him by a country mile...

Is this comparison really over though? Prior to Beasley's mental/drug problems coming to light, this was Beasley pretty handily, has his stock really dropped that much?

For sure..I'd take a 6'7 slow-footed tweener over a 6'11 freak who's got great floor skills, a killer attitude and can jump out of the gym. No question Beasley has more tools

beasley, 14 ppg 5 rpg 24 mpg as a 6th man on a winning team

randolph, flahses of talent on a terrible team

not to mention that the timing of this thread just seems a bit unfair

in 2 years this comparison WILL be over because beasley will have run away with it

Beasley is too busy getting stoned rather than improving his game. His work ethic sucks.

I'll take the more skilled/talented/ and higher potential player, which at this point is obviously Beasley.

How's Randolph's defense?
I'm assuming it's much better than Beasley's?

Well, AR actually averaged more rebounds, blocks, and steals than CoolGuyBeas despite playing 7 less minutes.

And while CoolDudeBeas put up 21/8.6/1.6/1.0/0.6 in the last month, AR put up 15/10.6/1.3/1.5/0.9

so i dunno. Beasley?

Beasley and it's not even close. What the hell does Randolph do besides being decent dribbler for his size ? Beasley would've scored 20 + if he went to garbage team like the Warriors. Thread.

Beasley by 100 miles and AR can't even come close.

I do hope to see 36+mpg from both of these guys this year.

Beasley all day - every day.

The "______ woulda scored 20+ if he played for the warriors" argument is played out and ridiculous.

Beas was a better scorer than AR last year. But thats about it. Even so, I think AR projects to have better offensive tools than Beas has... he just hasn't put them all together yet.

IMO Randolph has a higher offensive ceiling and defensive ceiling. And I think its already been proven that Randolph has the FAR better attitude/drive/intensity.

I believe Randolph will put it all together and reach something near his ceiling. So I'll give the vote to him.

And i'm not hating on Beas. I think if he gets his head straight (he is VERY young still) he can be a very good player. But as it stands i think he is sort of a moron... hopefully he can just be a moron off the court without it affecting his basketball.

How is it ridiculous? He is a better pure scorer and if he was put in a system like GS has he would have been in the running for ROY, although I still think Rose would have a slight edge.

No, Randolph doesn't have better offensive tools.

IMO Randolph has a higher offensive ceiling and defensive ceiling. And I think its already been proven that Randolph has the FAR better attitude/drive/intensity.

And lastly, you're out of your mind if you think AR has a higher offensive ceiling. Beasley is clearly the better offensive prospect. AR does have a higher defensive ceiling because of his overall D, but I still think Beasley and AR will be similar rebounders in their primes.

A lot of people in this world take medications and live very successful lives. Ignorant statements like this make me question some posters intelligence on this forum.
