OT: Does anyone else notice a pattern here?

Post#1 » by Gorilla Warfare » Thu Aug 20, 2009 2:41 am

Sorry to create yet another new thread on here, but did anyone else see that the Raptors may be trading Marcus Banks to the Mavs for Matt Carroll? If that goes through then Marcus Banks will have been traded to the Heat, Raptors, and Mavs with Shawn Marion. I just find that to be funny and quite ironic. By now Banks and Marion should be best friends seeings as they are traveling buddies.

Call me crazy but I'd rather have him as a starter over Nash, he's a very good defensive player and would be a good guard next to J-Rich.

Man I thought Marcus Banks would be a good backup, but DA never really let him play. He averaged somewhere between 12 points and 5 assist before arriving in Phoenix.

But where has Banks been good????

Nowhere. The guy is very dumb.

I just wished we wouldve kept Rajon Rondo

marcus banks has no skills. hes supposed to be a good defender but all he does is foul in the backcourt and get the other team in the bonus. he cant shoot, and when he drives into the lane he just causes turnovers. his defining career moment is when he hit those 7 3s against the nuggets in one game, thats the best thing he's done.

Yes, that's why I said call me crazy

It's even not that crazy if you think about it. When Banks was a starter playing over 30 minutes on the Wolves he had a solid season before the Suns signed him. He also would be a good fit next to J-Rich because he's a good defensive player while J-Rich is offensive.

marcus banks is a SCRUB. maryvales has gone beyond delusional. hmm, lets look at nash and banks. one guy is thrown in a deal just to make the salaries match, the other just got an extension from his team at the age of 36. hmm, who is the better player? i wonder.....

I usually hold my tongue when Maryvale spits out his Nash Hate but seriously you are sounding like an Idiot at this point. Look at the Numbers, Look at the W/L ratio, Listen to what the rest of the world is telling You!!

Nash has some defensive deficiencies which we all acknowledge but even with his flaws he is by far better than Banks, Marbury or anyone else you want to say is better than nash.

Banks did get a chance here, DA actually did play him and he lost a lot of leads for Steve while he was resting his back thats why he lost his minutes. Dudes a career back up if he sticks around at all...

lol yes. Actually his defining career moment was sadly enough that summer league game when he dropped 42 or something. when your defining career moment is in the summer league you should probably stay in the summer league.

That was me, and I still stand by that statement.
