Giants/Rox Series (8.21-8.24)

Huge series, obviously. Can't afford a letdown here, and considering we avoid seeing Cain, we really can't afford a letdown. Lincecum is tough, for sure, but I think winning 3 of 4 is going to be critical here.

Sanchez/Cook tonight.

I went to the game last night, which was pretty disappointing. Cook was awful and our bats couldn't get anything going. I'm planning on going downtown tomorrow and hopefully scalping some cheap tickets. I'd love to see Ubaldo vs. Lincecum.
Looks like we're down early again tonight, hopefully they turn it around.

Crazy old school Coors Field type game tonight. I'll take a win any possible way we can get it. Tomorrow should be huge. We need Ubaldo to be dead on tomorrow, I'm sure we'll struggle against Lincecum.

Also, we're signing Giambi to a minor league deal for the minimum. He'll play in AAA-Springs until rosters expand on September 1. Basically the idea is to give us another left handed bat off the bench. Wow how the mighty have fallen.

Great effort by Ubaldo today. Seth Smith absolutely destroyed that Lincecum pitch to give the Rox the win today. Huge, huge win. Taking 3/4 still possible with a win tomorrow.

Let's win the next four and pull into a tie with the Dodgers for the division by the weekend. Sound good? Ok cool.

You're officially a loser if you didn't watch Spilly's walk off GS tonight. What an incredible game.

Fowler couldn't run, a relief pitcher had to bat, and we still mustered a four run bottom 14. Absolutely incredible. I've never seen anything like that.

Yeah, that was **** awesome. I've never seen a guy sprint around the bases after a homerun like that before.
And I almost wish it would have went past 14 innings, so we could have seen Yorvit play first base, and Eaton out in right field.
