Perhaps they could have gotten Okafor for Okur. Now, that is a deal that would have perhaps made the Jazz a better team this year.

O'Conner is too smart to have ever traded Okur for Okafor. See below.

"He just hasn’t added up to the devastating package we thought he might be," said one executive of Okafor, citing his lack of development since being the 2nd overall player selected in the 2004 draft.

Charlotte wouldn't have wanted Boozer for Okafor because they wanted a 7' Center. Okafor was undersized and wasn't getting the job done enough for what they wanted.

Also, Boozer's rediculous contract demands (extention starting at $14 mill) threw a bucket of cold water on his already smoldering trade value due to his injuries over the past 4 years. Boozer would be a 1 and done for anyone not ready to pony up all that cash.

I was hoping for a Boozer trade in early August but it's almost September now. I guess there really isn't much interest for Boozer. Unless some team loses their starting PF in pre-season games, I don't think teams will have interest in Boozer. It's really just a waiting game right now.

and I bet that they think Boozer is better than Okafor so they wouldn't want to do that trade.
