Things you look forward to seeing next season

Post#1 » by schneiderjazz » Wed Aug 26, 2009 5:25 am

Offseason is boring as hell, and just like everybody else, I can't wait for the season to start. So while it doesn't, I'll just make another thread. What do you guys look forward to seeing next season? Some of the things I wanna see:

Deron playing with two good ankles.
CJ. He says he wants to be the MIP.
Koufos' development.

What else you got?

The championship trophy.

I'm serious about NBA schedule should change.
To wait from april-may if you don't go to the finals until november is insane. Then 82 games in 5 months and 1/2...
No way.

It would made more sense to begin preseason at september, play since October to 1/2 April, then playoff. 58 games (in back to back a lot of times you think your team is giving up, they are so tired), 16 best teams go to the playoff, nobody cares about divisions or conferences. Then Allstar goes to the best 24 players on the league, not the best 12 of each conference.

If you are only looking for basketball offseason is toooooooooo long.

Wow. What a joke of a fan you are. You are hoping that one of our key players/hardest working players fails so that you can say "I told you so". How pathetic. If thats what you look forward to every year you should become a Knicks fan. They never disappoint when it comes to disappointing their fans.

Personally the thing I am looking forward to the most is watching Milsap put up anything close to 13 points and 9 rebounds a game while ALSO playing D, subsequently helping to fill Boozers offensive efficiency while also preventing his man from scorching us for 30 a night whether that man is TIm Duncan or Drew Gooden. Then I am going to log on here and gloat about how Lava Rock Kid is such a tool. CAN'T WAIT!

Looking forward to seeing:

Williams finally get his due credit and become a legit All Star.

Which of our borderline players take it to the next level - Miles, Millsap, Brewer, Price.

Which of our young players prove that they belong and contribute - Koufos, Fes, Maynor.

Which of our players veterans justify their existing or a new contract - Boozer, AK, Korver, Memo.

And lastly, I'm looking forward to paying attention to the draft class and the Knick record to see who we can get to fill the biggest we we end up whith when any of the above players show that we can't relly on them. I predict it will be a big.

I hope to see the most improvement out of Miles, Korver, Millsap, Koufos, in that order.

Things I personally want to see out of the Jazz:

1. Can we win on the road?
2. Can we play defense?
3. Can we get back to playing Jazz basketball?

Doesn't matter about Millsap. He isn't going to get enough minutes anyways if Boozer is around. I'm just looking forward to Boozer getting back to his all-star level so i can say I told you so to all those Boozer haters that said we should trade Boozer.

I'm also really looking forward to watching Koufas. I just have an excitement about him and think he has something there he hasn't been given enough playing time to show off.

D. Locke has talked up CJ's off-season workout schedule. So I'm anxious to see if it has some impact on his game.

And lastly, So SO so excited about seeing the Jazz play a full season without any major injuries, so I can say I told you so to all those out there that say the Jazz did nothing this offseason and the Jazz have no game with their current roster.

From what ive seen until now from Koufos on Greek NT friendly games: Good inside scorer, some nice midrange scorer, good blocker, considerable bigger that the last time that i saw him, but same mobility, good blocker, but he really needs lots of work on his D. Krstic on some occasions fooled him. He really needs to understand he will be the bigger guy on court almost every time and act like that. I was expecting from him much better D that i didnt saw. The good thing for him, is that he will make the final twelve, and playing for a team that is so tough minded, will greatly help him. Calathes looks good too. They have some nice chemistry together, and i bet that after 2 years will be a very useful backup for a lucky NBA team. His court vision is amazing

1. Deron WIlliams Making an Allstar game. It is about time and he deserves it.
2. Deron Williams becoming more of a leader on the court and off the court. This includes with his actions and verbally.
3. Jerry Sloan being fired. Never happen but I can hope cant I.
4. Brewer developing an outside shot.
5. Jazz fast breaking alot more often which makes AK-47 a better player.
6. Millsap starting over Boozer because he deserves to just based on effort.
Top 4 seed in the West!!! Guaranteed!!!

Dear god!! It only took 887 posts, but finally he posts something the general Jazz fanbase could agree with and he didnt resort to childish name calling when it came to Boozer. Im shocked.

On to my list.

Maynor and or Prices progression as the backup PG.
Will Korver finally go back to the old Korver.
Is this finally the year that the old AK comes back...bwahahaha.
Watching Kosta play(more).
Is this the year that CJ Miles blows up and all the fans that claimed he was the second coming of Jesus Shuttlesworth after the GSW game 3 yrs ago can brag.
Does Deron finally make the ASG.
What kind of facial hair will Memo go with.
What will be Bolers hot new phrase for the season. Also over/under 800 buckle ups this season.
Ask myself why Steve Brown has a job.

Seriously Sheik! I'm actually agreeing with 5 of the 6 things HT says. As much crap as I've given him in the past, I'll say this was a pretty to the point post. I like this list.
Boozer the Loozer.
