Wouldn't this all be like... too many players... or something?

Moofs asks "Wouldn't this all be like... too many players... or something?"

Perhaps...
1)Les is about to buy a Euro team and is stocking the roster in advance.
2)The PC in Morey's head crashed and Microsoft"s advice to make up for losing Yao is to field a team of nothing but bigs...on the theory throw enough patches on a problem and something will work.
3)Morey is going for an unprecedented 10 for 1 trade.
4)The media has the facts garbled-it's really the Rockets' Yao signing players for his Shanghai Sharks.
5)There's a little known clause in the CBA that says you can add players whose combined height equals those you have on disabled list w/out it counting towards the roster or cap once you have more than 14' of disabled players.
6)Once Les realized he made a fortune off the Chinese market because of Yao,the wheels started turning-signing American players doesn't do squat for me,but them furriners bring me a whole 'nother market.(Laugh if you want but... Spanoulis(Greece),Scola(Argentina),Ariza(a double dip-Dominican Republic and Turks and Caicos),Andersen(Australia),Llull(Spain),Mensah-Bonsu(Great Britain) and perhaps Ramos(Puerto Rico).
7)Damn it! We meant to hire John Stamos to do this yrs promos. Freakin' ATT phones!
8)The Rockets are signing these folks as assistant coaches, not as players, because this year the Rockets intend to own the NBA's Front Office Intra-Mural League!
9)Morey misunderstood Adelman. Rick said he wanted more out of his players this season and Morey thought he said he wanted more players.
10)What's the fun of being Dork Elvis if you can't have a huge entourage that you can dismiss at will?

But Moofs, the real reason is the Rockets don't intend to have a training camp this year. Instead to make up some of the money they spent on draft picks, they're going to hold a series of Pay for View Steel Cage Death Matches where the winner gets his contract guaranteed.

If Ramos is 7'3" Yao got to be closer to 7'8", that ain't just no 3" height difference.

He's 249 lbs @ 7'3". You know how awkward and timid 260 lb Big Z plays.. Great we have some light weight big guys up front with Andersen @ 235... These guys in a literal sense combine to weight as much as Yao.

I think we signed him to a non-guaranteed contract.
