Milton Bradley accuses some fans of racial taunts

An angry Milton Bradley lashed out at his treatment from Cubs fans Wednesday, suggesting he has been the victim of racial abuse at Wrigley Field.

But Bradley declined to give specifics, saying no one wanted to listen to him.

"America doesn't believe in racism," he said sarcastically before repeating the remark.

Speaking to beat writers in the Cubs clubhouse Wednesday before their 9-4 victory over the Nationals, Bradley was asked to clarify his comments from Tuesday night, when he said he faced "hatred" on a daily basis.

To what exactly was Bradley referring?

"I'm talking about hatred, period," he said. "I'm talking about when I go to eat at a restaurant, I have to listen to the waiters bad-mouthing me at another table, sitting in a restaurant, that's what I'm talking about -- everything."

Pretty sure 2 of the most popular Cubs of All-Time are African American. Billy Williams and Ernie Banks. Derrek Lee is also popular among Cub fans. Racists! We hated Jacque Jones and LaTroy Hawkins because they sucked at baseball when they were with us.

I am so tired of this guy already, I keep hoping texas calls and want him back. I don't think he face as much hatred if he was not doing as little as possible for his $30 mil. If life is so difficult for him here I sure the cubs would let him walk away from his contract no questions asked. That said he is right on that fans should not be using racial slurs. Bradley haters are getting out of hand. There's nothing the guy can do to please them. He could go 4-5 with 4 grand slams including a walkoff one and the one out he would be booed. Security needs to kick these idiots out. They give a bad name to Cubs fans.

True but I seem to remember Torii Hunter putting us on his no trade list because of Wrigley's racist reputation.

I believe Hawkins was the one who talked to Hunter about he fans.

There probably has been incidents of racist remarks. But most of the fans are not racist.

The truth is some bleacher fans can be pretty ignorant. Last year the fans rode the Fukudome bandwagon until September when they realiezed he had been sucking for the past 3+ months. And this year Milton started off poorly so they still haven't let that go. So if I were Milton I would be frustrated.
