Haddadi unhappy???

Post#1 » by dj3ptkilla » Thu Aug 27, 2009 5:02 pm

Okay we have discussed tiredly trying to get a back up center with some shot blocking potential and who can help us out. With the Memphis Grizzlies looking like they are going to sign AI they will have a lot of players on there roster. Just recently I seen this http://www.realgm.com/src_wiretap_archi ... n_memphis/

Apparently Haddadi is unhappy in Memphis and feels he should get a chance to showcase his talents. Obviously he's not going to start for us over Spencer Hawes, but you'd have to believe he'd be the first Center off the bench seeing how we don't have one. How about we try to pry him away from Memphis for a second round pick or part of a larger deal??

I wouldn't mind giving up a 2nd rounder to get him. He's young, cheap and he takes up space.

How can you say this? Do you even know Hameds game? He just won the Fiba Asia gold medal for Iran, which is one country that has greatly improved in basketball since 2007 but i digress, Hamed plays like a true center. He can bang, grab boards and block shots. His post game is getting there but its still a little raw, he uses alot of hooks and half hooks. And if everythings going right hes has a nice little 10ft jumper that he can spring on you if your not ready.

The guy said he was "a star" of the team, and thus would want the time a "star" would get. Hawes/JT should start over him, and I doubt that's cool with him. I don't want that in my locker room.

Not really. In the Olympic games Haddadi was the only palyer to average a double-double in every game. He did this against very good bigs such as Oberto,Scola,Javtokas,Bogut,Ukic and so on. He even showed up Dwight Howard way back in the worlds in 2006. So to call him a bench warmer is undervaluing his talents because hes proven he can play well against national competion.

Interesting player. I wouldn't mind going after him depending on what it would take. Best case he's cut and we just sign him to a minimum deal. Still a solid prospect, I like what we have already though and would rather sign Brockman and see him get some minutes. One thing about Haddadi that's a little scary is that he makes Vlade Divac look like freaking Josh Smith. This guy gives new meaning to the words painfully and slow.

Him and Omri can pave the way for Iran and Israel peace. Or secular violence in the locker room.

in fact... Carlos Arroyo and Larry Ayuso would be the greatest backcourt in NBA history if you look at how they play on the international level... Arroyo DOMINATES in the Puerto Rico Jersey, oh but wait... NBA is a different world... so no

obviously you didnt read when i said the differnt players Haddadi has played well against. Hes not just an Iran star but an International star as well. If you watched him in the summer games youd know that he has talent. He played well againt Greece,Croatia,Lithuania,China,Argentina,USA. And to compare Arroyo and Ayuso is absolutely unfair because they play mainly South American teams like Virgin islands,Venezuela and Dominican Rep. which are terrible(the only good ones are Brazil and Argentina of course). You need to know his game before you downgrade him.

I could care less how he plays in international competition. I would only care about how he played in the NBA

To be honest, I never saw him played but from what I heard, he is terrible. (I have to take a look of him to fully accept that notion). Other than that, I have no opinion on him.

apparently you didn't read my post very well... I AM talking about the olympics... Arrroyo DESTROYS team USA when he plays against them, and what are you talking about Puerto Rico only plays south american teams??? They play ALL those teams that you listed in the olympics... and you are forgetting Serbia on that list. Who does Haddadadadadi play in the qualifying??? China? Pakistan? Japan? Australia? you're going to tell me that is better competition than USA, Canada, Brazil, Argentina.... get out of here.... another NILO on this board... you and him should create a Haddadi/Rubio dream thread and chat about their greatness all you want. fact is.. HE SUCKED ON THE WORST TEAM IN THE LEAGUE!!!! WHO OH BY THE WAY DIDNT EVEN HAVE A CENTER!!!!! Gasol and Milicic are both PF's and Haddadi didn't do **** to take advantage of that... so PLEASE, do not start with me I will burry you with posts if you continue
