Bring up this discussion at the end of this year when Anthony Randolph has played a full season and a regular rotation player. The guy played 18 minutes a game last season and so we cannot really assume that he'll be able to deal with large minutes.

This reminds me a lot of last offseason when everyone thought that Rodney Stuckey would be one of the best young PGs in the league after his rookie season and disappointed in his second season.

There's a difference between being an energy player on your team and becoming one of the main guys. Teams will start to focus more attention on you and that means you won't be getting the same opportunities.

BBallFreak is obviously a much better person than the rest of us so I guess we better listen to him.

And I still haven't really seen any argument that has any merit for the 6'7'' guy.

Did somebody compare Rodney Stuckey to Anthony Randolph???

I love how easy it is to spot the people who haven't watched an entire game that Randolph played in...or even watched him play at all.

It's called common decency. Depression is an illness, not something he chose.

How about better stats on a playoff team and a 20 point 8 board per game month on a team jockeying for playoff positioning? Both of those are HUGE boosts in his favor.

He also had one of the best players in the league drawing all the attention of the opposing defense, every night. He's a good scorer, but unfortunately that's not the argument. If the argument was which player put up better stats in the last 2 months of the 08-09 season then, yes, Beasley wins.

The argument is 'who will be the better player'.

As far as I can tell, only the Heat fans think the 6'7'' guy will be better. Heat fans are on the east coast, so the likeliness of them actually watching any game that Randolph played in is slim to none. Of course, knowledgeable fans would know that stats are not what makes a player great. So only looking at box scores and passing judgment on a player that you obviously have no true game knowledge of, looks silly.

So you're going to use that against him? Right now Beasley is clearly the better player. He got more minutes on a better team and put up better numbers while doing so.

Last time I checked you don't play basketball barefoot, so he is 6'8.5. The same argument you just said about Heat fans not seeing Randolph play is the same argument that could be made about Warrior fans not seeing Beasley play.

I honestly think Randolph has the higher ceiling. It's annoying how Miami fans are so defensive of this argument, and this was the case before Beasley's breakdown.

It depends on what you want. Beasley can probably be a 1st option on offense for any team. Randolph IMO is more suited to be a 3rd option, but he can contribute with a lot more than scoring. I'd take Beasley right now, but I wouldn't be surprised if Randolph turns out the better player.

Wow. Sometimes i question the Intelligence of the posters that are on Realgm..Seriously

Of all times why make a Thread When Beasley Stock is so low, and LOL at the results, people are so gullible.

Beasley has the higher Ceiling, and its not even funny, Randolph has him on defense, but Beasley is Ultimately the better player. Can't wait to Bump this in December
