I know that the games played would be a major factor in a H2H league, but normally is it frowned against to draft more than 2 guys from the same team? Last year, I had the potent 1-2 punch of Durant and Jeff Green, and hesitated on picking up Russell Westbrook because I was afraid to have 3 guys from OKC. I could have used him after he blew up mid-season.
So how do you feel about having 3 guys from the same team - say Ariza/Scola/Brooks or Mayo/Gay/Randolph, etc?
I'd like to hear some opinions...

I dont see any problems at all for the players you mentioned. I can see it as an issue if the players are playing the same position otherwise it shouldnt be a problem.

it causes inconsistency in your weekly scores. for example on a week when houston only has 2 games, you are definitely falling behind. if they are eligible for the same positions it gets even worse (but your examples aren't in that way)
I usually don't like to draft more than 2 guys on the same team

That makes sense.
But on the flip side of a 2 - game week, would it help when the team plays a 4 (maybe the rare 5) - game week?
I'm really intrigued by the sleeper potential of a trio such as Scola (who i believe is going to have a break-out fantasy season), Brooks (who really blossomed late last year), and Ariza (who will now be a centerpiece without Artest, Yao, and possibly McGrady).
I'd be interested in some of your opinions on the best fantasy duos/trios for this upcoming season. I have a few in mind, along with the ones I mentioned above.
D.Granger/T.Murphy/M.Dunleavy anyone?
How about Bosh/Bargnani/Turkoglu?

Don't like really like it, but if you are taking the BPA and they happen to be in the same team, there's no way around it.
The schedule determine how well you go.
If you can trade for them come finals time, THEN it looks like a masterstroke.

Thanks Young Star, as you said, I plan on studying the schedules for each team diligently...
Nostradamus, I really love those picks. I had considered a few already, but with Nowitzki and Kidd, I had imagined The Matrix as the 3rd wheel. But Terry is almost the better option there.
Hadn't thought of Melo-Billups-Nene, but I can't imagine what kind of damage they could do all together...
It's gonna be interesting to see how this season plays out...

Here is a link to a great schedule tool. I would focus on teams that have a high number of quality games, as these are the most "valuable" games throughout the season.

Yes sir. That's a fantastic tool that I had saved from another post...I might even go as far as saying that tool might win me my fantasy league this year.
According to the analyzer, a trio of Carmelo/Billups/Nene would crush the competition with 11 "quality" games next season. Compared to the Wizards two or the 76'ers' zero quality games, that will be a huge factor come draft night...
