I was going to say kobe's is the greatest lay-up i've seen but then again there still is this one.

so much flair to it, it's pure beauty...

and before making a mistake i did some research and foud this...!

vince is killing me in this one. granted, kobe's was a super clutch playoff move, while the others mostly weren't. they're all greater than jordan's though. that one's waaaayyyyy overrated...

No doubt i know MJ is great and to some the GOAT but Kobe's was way harder because he actually had defenders on him MJ did it for show Kobe had to or else would of gotten blocked by D12 which is the DPOY so Kobe all day

Kobe's is a tougher shot. But as some have said above Jordan's will always be remembered.

Did anyone here watch Jordan's shot live? I don't remember a whole lot from that series, but that one play absolutely stands out in my mind and I knew it the moment I saw it that it would be remembered for a long time.

I remember watching the series and thinking how that play summed up how dominant Jordan was and how this was his time. That play, while unnecessary, definitely symbolizes what he overcame (being considered a ballhog and not a good team player) and how he would go on to dominate the league in the coming years. When I watch that replay it reminds me of the end of the Showtime era and the beginning of the Bulls dynasty, and Kobe's shot doesn't come anywhere near that in terms of symbolism..

I remember the shot/layup too. I was in college in Santa Barbara sitting in my neighbors chair screaming at the TV for the Lakers too show some life and win this thing. ( never happened).. but when MJ did that shot........ I remember looking around the room and all of us laker fans all pretty much thought the same thing. It's a shot that , in my mind would be the beginning of real Mike era and one I have never forgotten.

Kobe's was also awesome, but I wasnt surprised at all when I saw it. Not because it wasn't difficult, but I have seen Kobe make many circus shots and at this point, I expect it out of him.

Phil when I saw Michael's shot I remember to this day I just said "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"! and it lasted about that long (lol). When I saw Kobe's shot, I said "OH WOW! I think I just was a shot in the Finals that surpassed Michale's"! (Difficulty wise)

The general board will always shut down whatever Kobe/The Lakers do.

The off the backboard one when he goes around Battier and with Yao right there was another one of Kobe's great highlights.
