I agree. Call me crazy but I would rather keep Sasha Palovic and dump JRich. Sasha is a better defender and can shoot just as well. Plus he is not an idiot

Sure, he will put up 22 ppg on about 38% FG shooting and letting his opposing guard score 26 ppg. WHile also making the most idiotic decisions.

He's a terrible shooter. I know you're looking at his career %'s, but he has generally been one of the worst non-layup % players in the league.

First off, I hope your meaning of "dump"ing J-Rich is trading him and not actually dumping him as in waiving him or buying him out.
Secondly, no one wants J-Rich, when are you guys gonna realize that..?
Third, his enormous contract is still clouding your judgment about how effective a player J-Rich can be.
Fourth, obviously you just dislike J-Rich, because he has never shot below 40% in his entire career.
The Suns have always had problems locking up the shooting guard on the opposing team ever since JJ left. Raja was decent, but started to fall off since Shaq injured him (When Shaq was in Miami, Raja shot a jumper and Shaq put his foot under Raja's foot). I dunno why, but ever since then I didn't see the same hustle, motivation, and leadership Raja used to portray every game.

No way. The Suns already punished him, and I'm not sure if the Nuggets punished JR at all. I'm glad its two games though. It gives Barbosa a chance to show what he can do starting. And maybe have Pavs the first two game to up his stats before trading him..?

Dont confuse the bonehead mistakes he makes off the court with what he provides on the court. I still disagree with all the J-Rich hate about the blown 360 dunk. He was trying to ignite the crowd (which was as dead as Michael Jackson was yesterday). The crowd plays a big effect in games. They would have gone nuts if he made that and started cheering a little more. The crowd can fire up a player. That what we needed as we were getting spanked. Its a play that can change the direction that a game is heading.

As for people bashing his defense, these are the same people that tend to over look their main man Steve Nash. Nash's effort on D includes not putting up a hand to get in the face of shooters and just watching the ball go flying over his head. Playing opposing PG's 5-10 feet away, allowing them to pick up speed and momentium and TORCHING Nash to the basket.

Bash his driving and personal mistakes all you want (as EVERYONE speeds and i bet more then 10 percent of the board has had a D.U.I or has driven over the limit and not been caught) , but to bash him on what he has accomplished athletically is just asinine. Wasnt he the top 3 point shooter in the league when we traded for him? Right before he came into our jacked up Terry Porter system? An athletic SG with dunking power/style that can hit the 3 and has the speed and quickness to torch defenders is what we will need in this coming season.

2006-2007 was Pavlovic's "career" year in which he scored 9 pts per game.

That same year:

Pavlovic missed 31 games holding out for a big contract and then immediately began proving he didn't deserve a big contract; while he was at it he launched a side mission to shatter the league record for charges. Pavlovic committed 19 offensive fouls, an awesome total for a player who saw so few touches -- by comparison, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy and Hedo Turkoglu each had 18.

To say his shot was off would be a dramatic understatement. Pavlovic slumped to 29.8 percent on 3s and 36.2 percent overall, and was the worst shooter in the league on non-layup 2-pointers. He converted just 23.9 percent of his offerings; Pavlovic attempted more than 200 shots and converted barely a quarter of them.

The net was a horrendous season in which he posted a 7.28 PER and a 43.4 true shooting percentage, both of which ranked in the bottom five among small forwards. Though a decent athlete, he also ranked in the bottom five at his position in rebound rate.

Perhaps the most unsettling part of his season is the realization that Cleveland may have paid for a fluke year. Pavlovic's 2006-07 stats seem completely out of line with the rest of his career, in which he never came close to posting a double-digit player efficiency rating.
