Wayne Ellington
So I read on timberwolves.com in the mailbag a little thing on Wayne Ellington:
The former North Carolina sharpshooter displayed an ability to take defenders off the dribble and score inside the paint. His game is well rounded, which most scouts did not highlight in their pre-draft reports. Ellington is not afraid to pull the trigger from the 3-point line but also makes the smart decisions in transition. His intelligence and productivity on the court will surprise several teams who passed on him during the June draft.
So to the guys that no his game, how true is this? I was afraid he was just one dimensional, and that was just shoot, shoot shoot. But if he can take his man off the dribble, and facilitate a little bit, could we be looking at our starting SG?

Re: Wayne Ellington
Toward the end of the season he could become a starting SG, but that's because he's competing with Wilkins and Brewer for the spot. I don't see him as a long term solution for starting SG. I consider him to be primarily just a shooter. He's certainly not a playmaker and I still want to see some improvement of the defensive end.

I think Ellington has as good a chance as anyone of winning ROY. We have no other outside shooters, unless you count the Russian PF. But All-Star 2010? Not a chance in Hell.

Re: Wayne Ellington
Wayne Ellington is a poor man's Ray Allen. All-Star - unlikely. Very good player on a great team - sure. He should get some serious burn for Minny this season which should start paying off by next season. My guess is that he averages about 10 points in 25 minutes this season, maybe 2nd team all-rookie. It won't be pretty this season but it looks like Kahn and Rambis are committed to developing players the right way and that takes time.

Re: Wayne Ellington
If Ellington has as good a chance as anyone to win rookie of the year, which would make him a real good player, how can you say he has no chance in hell of making the 2010 all-star game. How many players win rookie of the year, than follow it up the next year with an All-Star nomination?IcemanMN wrote:I think Ellington has as good a chance as anyone of winning ROY. I'm guessing you're a hateful little man. 30 posts and almost all of them are mean spirited or condescending.

Look WG, your the one calling me a troll in another thread. Ive made positive comments in the past about certain posters here. I would mention their names again, but they would probably rather paper-cut their testicles and take a lemon juice bath than have me be on their side. Ive made comments about the wolves getting smarter as a team in the past by getting rid of certain players, and i'm called a racist. Mnwi , the s#@t talker he is, tells me to quit my crying. Look back at certain threads before you call me out, big man.Worm Guts wrote:Shrunk wrote:I'm guessing this is the kind of post that gets someone to 9000 real fastWorm Guts wrote:I'm guessing MVP

LOLOLOLOL!
Anytime he hits a 3 we can pump a little 'Waynedrops keep falling on my head' or maybe 'Who'll stop the Wayne?'
Both kinda downers, but I can't think of any exciting songs about rain. I think it should only be for 3s, not just any jumpers. 3s by Ellington should officially be called 'Waynedrops' though.

Re: Wayne Ellington
Shrunk, I'm pretty new here myself, (actually I've been reading this forum for years, just joined about a year ago, and still read posts here all the time, but don't post often) and I would just like to say, as a neutral party, that for better or for worse, this forum is like any other social gathering, where there may be some 'cliques' and people may be a bit guarded against newcomers, especially when some of those newcomers are trolls. With that in mind, new posters need to earn respect, either through constructive posts that contribute to a thread or through a generally respectful attitude. I'm not familiar with your entire history as a poster, just saying....while it may be too late for you to make a first impression, it's never too late to change the impression people have of you. Your post, responding in a condescending way towards WormGuts's obviously sarcastic post, will do nothing for your reputation around here.
Just sayin.....

Lobo, most of your post here is right on the money, but you said yourself you don't know the entire history, I will leave it at that. Rev, even though i don't understand why your jumping in on this(WG's) is more than man enough to handle his own disagreements, I'll drop it.LOBO 7 wrote:Shrunk, I'm pretty new here myself, (actually I've been reading this forum for years, just joined about a year ago, and still read posts here all the time, but don't post often) and I would just like to say, as a neutral party, that for better or for worse, this forum is like any other social gathering, where there may be some 'cliques' and people may be a bit guarded against newcomers, especially when some of those newcomers are trolls. Lobo, you just got done giving me some constructive criticism, here is some for you. I think Devilz is funny also, but lol is used to abreviate, to save from having to type as much. You might as well just type "Your really funny" instead of 9 l and o's to get your point across. unless you wanted us to assume you laughed so hard and loud, it echoed.LOBO 7 wrote:Devilzsidewalk wrote:I'm guessing a massive Waynestorm of Waynedrops for 82 games

You know, to get you point across you could post something just once, instead of twice in a row. you might as well just type "x 2" at the end of your first post, that way it would save you the trouble of having to post things twice. Just saying...

Did you just call me a good looking woman? Is that some kind of forehanded insult? I'm perplexed, honestly.
