Are you kidding? Have you watched the guy? One of the few true Cs in the league, really nice post game, can hit a midrange shot, boards well and blocks well and just a rook.

I think Bynum can and will be better then Brook, but as of right this moment Brook is better. They are both similar but Brook is less athletic but a bit more polished at the moment. That kid will be a damn good center for the next 5-6 years.

brook doesn't do anything better than bynum.

I would love to see what Lopez would do against Bynum this season. Bynum will def beast against the Nets.

I don't care about these rankings really. Bynum could be ranked last and as long as the Lakers win another chip, I'll be fine with it.

You don't need to prostitute Bargnani on this board.

08-09 season:
bynum had a better season than bargnani (but he got injured)

pontential wise:
still goes to bynum. he has better potential than bargs

so bynum should be ranked higher than bargs

depends on wheather your talking statline production or head to head matchups. Not many of those guys do well vs Bynum directly. I also refute that Al or Amare are legit centers.

come on guys we are overrating bynum.. he is playing with a superstar and all star with him and he has to do only one thing play defence and rebound he does not need to score... not to mention the defensive schemes other teams build around are Kobe, Gasol, Odom and now Artest...

bynum wont reach his true potential until Kobe retires or he gets traded.....

Let Drew be on his own team as a number one option even a number 2 option. Things would be different right. That is why Drew's potential is higher. I can't see someone like Bargs tearing it up as a number 1 or 2 option on a team. With Drew I can see that. Not only is Kobe one of the top 1st options in the league but the Lakers have the best 2nd option in the league. That best 2nd option also happens to be a post player so it limits Drews touches. Its kind of hard to get touches and get great numbers when you have guys like Kobe and Pau on your team.

Exactly. Until that happens. Bynum will not reach his true potential and not to mention Phils hate for Bynum to play through fouls will hinder from reaching his true potential. Since he is not going to be traded soon so at best he will be the fourth or fifth option on this team....

It all comes down to health. If he's out for half the season, then either misses or disappears in the playoffs, nothing else really matters. Not that it's his fault, but still. He's got a long way to go to prove he can be a consistent player for 82 games plus.

#1 Dwight in the East
2 - 5 are PFs (Duncan, Gasol, Amare, Al J) It wouldn't be right for those guys to say they are centers now that Yao is out and then next year cry that they are PFs
#6 Shaq is in the East

All star starting center will be either #7 Okafor, #8Okur, #11Bynum or #15 Oden

Guess who my money is on!
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

Very hard to assess Bynum because he has been around greatness for some time (Kobe, Phil) and imo cannot be thrown into the fire because there is just much depth in LA.

I am not a Laker fan and admit that I only get to see Bynum play maybe 7-8 times a year between national TV and when the Lakers come here, but I just don't think he has proven that much as of yet. Not to say Bynum could not break out in the near future, but again it is hard to grade a guy that is on a powerhouse squad in LA and always has someone else to bail him out and make him look decent.

Just my two cents.
