S. Jackson

I wonder if he would want to come to LA to help win a title. 6'8 and averaged 20, 6,5 last season.

He's gonna be backup for Artest? Cause I don't see him earning my minutes.

Plus that contract is ugly. Buss won't do it.

If we never had Ron Ron and Ariza was let go I think Jackson would have been the guy the Lakers would go after. Use the expiring contracts of Ammo and Farmar and maybe even Sasha to try to bring em to L.A. Possibly even try to bring Ronny back for some energy off the bench. But Jackson to L.A won't happen.

We got Ron Artest now. I would have traded Ariza for Jackson if we didn't get Artest though.

Artest is a better defender that Jackson
Artest is a better shooter than jackson
both of them are crazy and they definitely shouldn't be around each other!

our small forward position is fine. I would be way more interested in giving up Ammo Sasha and Jordan for Monta Ellis. Golden State is another team interested in expiring contracts and in need of a shooting guard because Curry would most likely be their starting PG. So they can let Ammo and Jordan expire and hold onto Sasha, he is cheaper than Monta. And we could really use Monta at the 1 or 2. With this move D.Stearn can basically hand us the title again.

oh yeah, and this trade works both to make each team better, and the espn trade machine accepts it. On top of that it puts Golden State in better position financially, which would be the incentive for them to make the trade happen. Whadaya think?

I think getting Monta Elllis would be a dream come true. They have a weakness at the pg spot and Monta would give them a star at every position plus 1 on the bench.

Morrison and Vujacic for Jackson and Morrow

Jackson could come here but he would have to play back up to Artest and Bryant. I wouldn't mind this at all. We could cut Morrow and send him back to the Warriors tho. Dr. Buss wouldn't do this tho...lol

Lakers:
SF:Artest/Jackson/Walton
PF:Gasol/Odom/Powell
C:Bynum/Mbenga
SG:Bryant/Jackson
PG:Fisher/Farmar/Brown

Morrison would be just money off the books, but he would provide offence off the bench for Nelson. Vujacic fits well into a back court with either Ellis or Curry.

This is why I was talking about trying to trade Ariza and Sasha or farmar for S jax because I just knew S Jax would want to leave GSW. Although I didn't know Artest would take a paycut to come to LA. I always wanted S Jax, but Artest takes his role so he no longer is a need. If trash can be traded for him then great, but I doubt he wants to come to LA and get bench minutes.
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

Reality check, Lakers are never getting Monta Ellis or Captain Jack for Morrison, Vujacic, and filler. There's a extremely small and unlikely possibility (less than 1% chance) that Mitch the Magician can pull another trick out of the hat for Stephen Jackson, but our roster is set.

But then again... if the Lakers can pull of another heist... the entire league will be on suicide watch.

No way Nelson would've taken Sasha and Trev for Gunz Jackson.

When I saw that number I got sick. If this were to happen he would back up Bryant and Artest only stealing minutes away from Walton and allowing Kobe to rest more during the season.

The Lakers don't need Jackson but if they were to make a trade any trade would have to start with getting rid of Walton. Jackson has a bad contract but if you were to include Walton and his 3yrs it make swallowing Jackson's contract easier. Nellie will not deal with the Lakers and will not take Walton or any other Lakers crap for his best player no matter how difficult Jackson makes things.

He's not coming to LA.

But let's just hope he goes to the ECF, and not to SA, Dallas, Portland, or Denver, making them stronger.
Hopefully he goes to Orlando to further mess with Cleve and Bost. That would be interesting.
