OT: Your fantasy football team

Post#1 » by Miklo » Mon Aug 31, 2009 2:48 am

Pretty self-explanatory. Everyone put your fantasy football lineup here. Just whatever positions are scored, no need to post bench players (unless you got a steal on your bench). I just drafted today:

QB: Peyton Manning
RB: LaDanian Tomlinson
RB: Thomas Jones
WR: Dwayne Bowe
WR: Santana Moss
TE: Tony Gonzalez
W/R: Donald Driver
K: Ryan Longwell
DEF: New York Giants

EDIT: 12 person league

drafted one today:

QB: Matt Ryan
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Anquan Boldin
WR: Wes Welker
RB: Deangelo Williams
RB: Kevin Smith
TE: Owen Daniels
K: Kasay
D: San Diego

w/ LenDale White, Marshawn Lynch, and David Garrard as my bench guys. Definitely softer than I'd like at QB, but all three of my starting WRs are pretty studly and I love my RBs.

My semi-serious "for real moniez" league has an auction on Tuesday so I guess that's the team I'm more considered about.

Very Good Squad for an auto pick in a 12 man league. I'd Take it.

Thank OB!

I don't think it's an awful team. I hope Owens shows up this year.

I like your squad. Solid pick on Chris Henry. He was a FA and I snagged him. He will do quite well this season without TJ there.

Also, solid on Jamal Lewis and Larry Johnson. Adds depth to RB and possible trade bait if they do moderately well. Hope Hester does well for ya with Cutler behind Center.

BTW, how does the whole Def thing work? I have always been curious on that! I bet it adds a completely different element to playing and drafting.
Looking forward to the 28-29 season.

It depends on how competitive a league it is, I've been in very competitive leagues and they actually go pretty early (like middle rounds), in this league since some of the guys weren't looking at D too early we could afford to slack on it, although I got Willis pretty early.

Oh yeah, Yahoo! screwed over the auto-drafters since they didn't have the D guys ranked properly... they all got Scrubs on D for the most part and have to get guys off waivers.

Yahoo has had defensive players as an option for a while now. I've been doing defensive players in one league I am in for 4 years now. It just depends on what the person setting up the league wants to do.

Yeah it always gives me scrubs when I auto draft, but there are usually really good players on the free agent list. I've won that league twice in the last 4 years and lost in the championship game last year. Your team looks like it should be awesome.

I like that you have both Cooley and Zach Miller, but I am staying away from Brandon Marshall.

Definitely, but once he fell that far I figured he was worth the risk. We'll see, though.

Same league as SDU. Not very happy with my team, but we shall see what happens. I also didn't realise I didn't draft a kicker. LOL. I guess that happens when you draft for two people. Dagnamit.

(6) Chris Johnson
(19) Reggie Wayne
(30) Joseph Addai
(43) Wes Welker
(54) Philip Rivers
(67) Marshawn Lynch
(78) Derrick Ward
(91) Baltimore
(102) Laveranues Coles
(115) Heath Miller
(126) Justin Fargas
(139) Chris Chambers
(150) Brett Favre
(163) JaMarcus Russell

Note: I only really drafted Fargas & Russell coz I wanted at least one player of my favourite team. I had them both up for a couple of waiver players as soon as the boys left last night. LOL
