Re: Nash in Disguise
Haha my brother was in China for a year and a half, he said all the ballers at the local parks were horrible. No defense, and they call fouls on everything. He said they really don't know the game too well. And the only basketball they get to watch over there are the Houston Rockets. Go figure.

Despite basketball being so popular in China, they have fairly few basketball programs over there so most of them learn by playing and watching rather than learning the fundamentals first. And really, basketball didn't become as big as it is today in China until Yao came along and became the first Chinese superstar.
From a personal perspective, I don't really like playing against chinese ballers in Australia. They are as you say, very soft and call fouls on everything.

I used to play in an Asian league (not a professional one) here in Oz which were allowed two imports (non Asian) and they were a bunch of psycho's.

You're kidding right ????? The picture was taken from behind the goal net, his hair is not grey, if you look closely you will see that's a blurred line of the net going right across his hair...........

Sometimes if they lost they wanted to fight you.
I learnt early just to play ball and shut my mouth.

Steve Nash is so epic, it's not fair.
Seriously, he and KJ are 75% of the reason I play and care about the Suns.

Wow, 75%? It would be hard to pinpoint reasons for loving basketball, and then Suns. Steve is great, any way you slice it.
I'd say that I started watching the Suns because of Paul Westphal when he donned #44, but KJ definitely kept me watching years later. But I would have to give the nod to my brother for getting me to love basketball. So 50% my brother, 30% Westphal, and 20% everyone else that keeps me watching.

I posted this article in the off-season thread. I didn't want to start a new thread about off-season news, even if it is as funny as this.

Well I clicked on it

Of course I disagree with alot of the OP's points but nothing really to see besides the NBA sent him to do charity work in China.
