Brent Barry on trading block...

Should we make an offer..?
Even though that butthole chose the Rockets over the Suns I say we make an offer of...
Sasha Pavlovic, Cavs 2nd Round Pick, for Brent Barry and... Brian Cook or Chuck Hayes.

Or should we look elsewhere to improve the team..?

Barry himself isnt even worth a second round pick now.

We need another center or point guard, thats about it guys.

No way, Barry is not what we need at all. Moving Pavs for him would be a pretty mysterious move, we may as well keep Pavs over doing that trade.

Since when do teams announce players like Barry being on the trading block? That's like Sarver sending out a league-wide e-mail saying URGENT: ALANDO TUCKER ON THE TRADING BLOCK. Quick way to get added to somebody's spam filter.

Why would we make a move that that gets us a player we dont need (SG/SF), instead of getting a playr we need (center)? these moves just dont make sense....

BB is just about the last player we need at the moment. He can't be last as long as Steph Marbury is around, but it's close.

Pavs has value in trade for us, or even as a way to trim $3.5 mil from payroll if we simply cut him - Barry has no value in any way for us.

Brent Barry would have been a decent player to after for if it wasn't for his continuous rejection to our offers in that past couple years. Him and Tyronne Lue.

Look, Barry and Brian Cook/Chuck Hayes all expire this year too.
Barry, often runs point guard for the Rockets, and used to run point guard sometimes for the Spurs too. He's a smart player, and can hit clutch shots for us. He brings experience, and he knows he's a role player so he won't expect 30 mins a night.
Brian Cook is a big who can also spread the floor. Really just another big body, in case we run into foul trouble. He can also hit the three (not consistently).
And Cleveland's second round pick might as well be 57-60th. When we have Taylor Griffin at 43 (or whatever pick he was) you can't get much worst than that.
You guys wanted a backup point guard, and a big, and I gave it to you. Not really much out there in way of improving our team dramatically. The Suns want versatile players, and you get that in Barry and Cook. Plus Barry is another "class act" which the Suns seem to be striving for. Brian Cook... Not so much.

i think after this season we will just about know goran dragic's staus, and whether or not he will be good player. i think he will impress us, and if he wont be we will need to find a good backup not brent barry. if he has proven he can be why would he not be good enough for the playoffs?

he did play baksetball in europe, not college and he knows how the heat of the playoffs feels. he doesn't need to be eased in.

Before when we were still contending, Barry would've been a nice addition. But now we're going with the youth movement and he would just take minutes from Dragic and Barbs.

I understand the Suns youth movement, but really they only have two key veteran players on the roster (Nash, Hill). And I believe Barry can help implement key values to the younger set of guys, he can help on and off the court (by that I mean, in practice, not streetwise).
I dunno, at this point I'd rather add ourselves an older player that won't mind how much playing time they get, because they really don't have anything to prove as opposed to another younger player that might cause team chemistry problems when lack of playing time may be an issue.
I think you guys are looking for something that isn't necessarily out there, there aren't many options available at the time being. Brent Barry and Brian Cook would improve depth and add more veteran leadership. And Brian Cook would be a good practice dummy on Amare (Amundson being too short, Lopez and Clark being too skinny).
I don't see Houston trading within the conference though. Although if they were interested in getting a free agent in the short time available between now and training camp, cutting salary like Pavs contract, would help slightly.
