Udrih injured

Post#1 » by jolbin » Thu Sep 3, 2009 12:05 pm

Beno injured his knee in yesterdays preparation match of Slovenia and Germany, which was won by Slovenia with 70:53..
He is having all of the medical examinations today, but there is a lot of rumors talking about a serious injury..

Slovenija really isnt lucky..
Becirovic is injured, Sasha is injured, Beno is injured and the team captain and best player Smodis is also injured, but he might play..
The main goal is still a medal, though

Call it mean if you like and if this is true, but I'd like to see him gone for an extended period of time maybe even the whole season. That way Tyreke doesn't have to worry about mins and he can ultimately become the floor general we need him to be. Also we'd see more of Sergio which is never a bad thing. Of course we wouldn't be able to trade this lazy player who obviously is hurt, because while everyone else is getting better he's being lazy not working out. Just collecting a check is all he does.

Call it (Please Use More Appropriate Word) if you like. You want to see Udrih ride the bench for the next 4-5 years or so making 10-15% of our total salary doing absolutely nothing?

Ditto on DENIEDS comments in this case DJ3PTKILLA your comments are carzy considering if the guys seriously injured you cant even package him in a trade if one would have presented itself !

Look at the KNICKS as an example the past seberal of years prior to last having alot of vets injured getting overpaid & riding the bench does ALLEN HOUSTON as just 1 example ring a bell ?

Lol, from what that says, it isn't so horribly bad that we shouldn't even really worry about him being ready for the season. I don't care for Beno, and I'm vast;y disapointed with how he's ended, but we still need to play him. He's not worth his contract, but he's worth some playing time.

I'm entitled to my opinion just like anyone else is whether we agree or not. I use to like Udrih actually, but once he got the money he stopped playing with heart. The guy is lazy and though his contract is bad considering what he outputs. I'm sure it is tradeable. I don't expect that any time soon. I just think he's the new Kenny Thomas and a waste of space. If he bounces back and plays like the Udrih who got the 35 million dollars then I'll step back off of some of the harsh comments, but nothing gives me indication he will play like that.

If he's not worth the contract, no one is gonna trade for him.

If he doesn't play, no one will see any reason to trade for him.

If we play him at least a servicable ammount per game to show his skills, it elivates the slight possibility that someone might be interested in him.

Not playing him does nothnig for the team.

It sounds so far like he won't be out for too long. Hopefully not, I'm still holding out hope he gets significant time because he needs to gain value and I think he can actually play a vital role with our team moving forward. Good luck to Beno get well!

"Beno Udrih is facing up to three weeks on the sidelines after damaging his left knee ligament. The Sacramento Kings guard limped out of Slovenian 70-53 win against Germany at Bonn on Tuesday. He has since been sent to a specialist to determine the extent of the injury."

Lol at those overreacting to dj3ptkilla's post. Benos injury doesnt sound that serious and 3 weeks isn't gonna kill benos trade value. Beno has horrible trade value right now and even if healthy odds are were not gonna be able to shed him for an expiring anytime soon. Im not too worried about it and I also am excited to see more of tyreke and sergio play at the beginning of the season while beno recovers.

What is funny here?
We destroyed Russia, Croatia, Germany and Grecce in preparation matches...
Team without Sasha Cryin Baby Vujabrick is much stronger.. Well.. I am sad for Beno, but still----
