It's payback time for Hood !
A plea for post scoring is a plausible Bulls plan, but plainly isn't a priority. In response to a post player's dismay about his lack of points in the paint, Paxson said.... "I'm not nearly as concerned about the offensive stuff as he is."

That's an epic shot of Soldier Field right there.

Let's do it!

i'm hoping Rideau has a huge game and makes the roster instead of Rashied Davis. all i've heard all week is how amazing Rashied's two special teams plays were last sunday. wow....2 good plays on special teams in a pre-season game. that almost makes me forget the dozen dropped balls from last year....

Cut Rashied Davis. Keep Rideau.

+1
I agree, those drops balls were a killer last season

I would also like to see Cutler connect with Aromashodu also.

Aromashodu is a big target like Rideau since he is 6'2, and would of had a TD last week if Cutler would have completed the pass near the end zone after he beat his man.

The Bears kept six receivers last season, so I would like to see Aromashodu get a chance along with Rideau, Knox and Iglesias.......including starters Hester and Bennett.

4th preseason game = stay healthy.

I'm guessing the cut down decisions have already been made and it would take an injury to change that.

We'll be lucky to see the starters for more than one series. This is a game where the backups try to prove they belong on the roster, so get ready for a heaping helping of guys like Craig Steltz and Cody Balogh!

Agreed. So much!

IMO WR's should be

#1 Benett, #2 Hester, #3 Devin Aromashodu, #4 Johnny Knox, #5 Rideau, Reserve; Iglesias.

Rashied Davis baffles the mind with his dropsies. Besides that, for a team looking for a standout WR, there is limited upside with Rashied Davis as a WR. There's also the fact that the Bears have Garett Wolfe coming on as a Special Teams beast. Really the Bears have many good special teamers. Rashied's loss would hurt, but cutting a special teamer never killed anybody

I always like that the Bears keep good special teams players. And even if Davis makes the team, it will be as the 4th WR, IMO. The top three are sealed in my mind with Hester, Bennett, Aromashodu. I'd like to keep Rideau, but I won't be terrible upset if they keep Davis for special teams purposes. Knox and Iglesias keep their spots because of draft status, even though they will both struggle to see the field.

Even though it's been against 2nd and 3rd string defense Johnny Knox has impressed me a lot.

He torched the Broncos's 2nd Round and likely starting CB Alphonso Smith. He has great speed, good hands, and his routes aren't bad either. The only knocks I have seen so far is his physical strength(The ability to beat Corner off the line), he doesn't seem to be much of a vertical jump up and get it guy, and of course the competition he played against at Abilene Christian.

I hope Knox turns out good. He's impressed me a lot more than Iglesias so far.

Devin Aromashodu is as good as in I believe. Especially since he has the word of God JC-Jesus Christ-Jay Cutler vouching for him. Cutler seems to really prefer those gritty WR's like Marshall that have the ability to just snatch a ball away, and maybe he believes DA has that ability.

Odd men out would have to be between Davis and Rideau, and I'd rather go with youth over Rashied Davis

Looks like Bears are going to hold Kreutz, Hester and Forte out of tonight's preseason finale and Browns will start third-string QB ...

Damn wanted to see Hester and Forte tonight. Oh well it's for the best. As long as nobody gets hurt.

That's one empty stadium.

On a better note, I read on ESPN that the Bears are closely monitoring Matt Jones' situaton as he worked out with the Titans today.

The Browns don't even know who their starter is going to be yet - shouldn't they still be looking at all their sorry @ss choices? Maybe one would get hurt and make the decision easier.

Sign him to a 1 year deal. What harm can that do?

Why did we play Cutler if we're just going to hand off every down? Can't Hanie do that?

Early prediction: we'll draft a RB early next year. If we have to go with Jones, Wolfe, or Peterson for an extended period, it won't be pretty.

Side note: I haven't complimented Gould in my post game logs and that's a big omission. He's been just awesome this preseason.
