Think of it has having to do LESS math since you only have to do your own and not have to do so with everyone else that doesn't have theirs done. Believe me it is a whole helluva lot less math.

Let them deal with their own math. The only time we may care about others totals is if we are fighting for a FA. In trades, we don't really care....at least I don't.

New Orleans accepts. We wanted to bring in a couple of young players, in this trade we get Beasley who we think will we a very good fit in New Orleans. We also wanted to cut some future salary and we do that by moving West, MoPete, and Posey.

We add a yound center that we wanted on our team all along. Also get a great shooter that fits great on the Mavs in Mason. As well as Blair which to me seems like a pretty good player but fell in the draft. Also got the right's to Splitter which i can probably turn into something better.

This allows me to be flexible with my lineups. Wait for it LA, and SA a move is coming.

Golden State trades: Corey Maggette ($8,937,931)

Why? GS gets out of Maggette's long term deal and gets instant salary relief from waving Buckner. Carroll can play as a spot up shooter off the bench, but most importantly his contract is much smaller than Maggette's. This also opens up a lot of SF and PF minutes for Randolph and Wright

Dallas accepts because they get another quality big to add to their lineup and dumping contracts and players which weren't needed. Also get Garcia who comes on a hefty contract but is still a consistent player.

Besides, we still have more than enough capspace for the 2010 season, despite the contract differential. Watson is also a solid backup, and had a nice run to finish off last season.

Duhon is a PG on an expiring contract. He will be the backup to Jonny Flynn. Douglas gives us a backup combo guard with defense. We also save 745,000 instantly with the deal.

Since both deals are still pending I will consider Mason as contingent and not make you wait any extra time. The 48 hour rule will be applied AFTER a player has switched teams via an approved trade.

I accept. Tracy McGrady has injury issues that concern me. In return for him, I get a 20/10 player in Zach Randolph who can help fill the post scoring void left by Yao Ming, a wing player that can score 18 ppg, and a young prospect. I do take on a lot of salary for 2011, but all contracts will end the same year as Yao's if he decides to pick up his player option.

I'm not personally interested in any of these players, but jumping to the conclusion without seeing all the offers out there that these guys would sign for the Lakers (for the minimum) doesn't make much sense to me. How do we know a team doesn't come out with an offer for Tinsley that is significantly above the veteran's minimum?

IMPORTANT INFO

Any unsigned restricted FA will be property of the team that holds his rights. Lee/Nate to NY, Sessions to MIL, etc. So teams with those players send me an offer sheet and we will hammer out a deal. Any unsigned unrestricted FA will be free game. Feel free to start sending in offers once you have all the prerequisite roster info posted.
