OT: Oregon @ Boise FIGHT!

It's too bad the ORE tailback snapped, but if that Boise player threw out racial ish, as King Tee would say "it's @ your own risk sucka!", dude cold cocked him, one punch and down.

Tailbacks busted, but nice punch homey. Good thing you didn't take on the kids from the crowd that would have been really dumb, but Boise player said something ill and hit him in the head area surprised him, taunting for sure, especially postgame.

You can see the Boise coach pulling Boise player back because he was provoking him before ORE RB threw the punch, so you knew he said something wrong.

That tailback is huge, I say he just forgets about football and goes straight to the UFC.

Sports radio, and ESPN will treat it like it's priority 1 and we'll all be sick of it soon, but fun for a night.

The thing that's really going to hurt the ORE players case if he has one is his move towards the fans, that's maybe worse than the punch, good thing coaches were there to pull him back.

The fact that the coaches had to pull him away from the stands with force is really gonna sit badly with the NCAA, could be more like half a season for the RB and 1 game for the Boise.

It'd suck if he lost his scholarship because of that.

He shouldn't have ever punched him in the first palce. I wonder if that punch is worth the games or the scholarship he could potentially lose. And it was a cheap shot.

Jail time.

It's called Aggravated Assault, "assault by force likely to create great bodily harm"

and Battery, "intentionally causing bodily harm by touching or striking another person"

There is no provision in the law for verbal "provocation".

Idaho statutes call for up to 5 yrs imprisonment, $5000 fine

Blount should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Ahh I need to pull another video, the vid I posted is a alternate angle. You'll see the Boise kid run toward him jump at him from the side shouted something in his face at the same time threw his hand and appeared to make contact above the shoulders before RB cold cocked him.

Ahh, the ORE kid already has a bad history in the program, and talked mess in the papers prior to the game. OK, now I see the picture clearer.

i guess that kid from Oregon has a history of this kind of stuff. was suspended from practice earlier in the year i think

i know he was provoked but still taunting is apart of any sport and you need to keep yourself under control

that said, it was a pretty good hit, dropped the guy

Pac-10 is weak, USC should walk thru untouched... But that's what we say every year

That kid just kissed his NFL career goodbye, and his college season.

and what does this have to do with the Lakers?

He did deserve the punch, you say fightin words and smack someone's shoulder in a mocking gesture, them's fighin words, you turn your back and try to walk away? Don't whine when a punch comes at your ass. Which you deserved IMO

Brah, your a newbie on here, relax with the "What does this have to do with the Lakers". Its a good thread and its not like we have a lot to talk about anyways. Cut the O.P some slack.

Back to Blount ............... He ducked up bad, he needed to keep his cool and not let it get to his head, I think the severity of his suspension came after he tried to attack the fans. I dont think he would've been suspended the whole season just for the cheap shot. the cheap shot probably wouldve gotten him 4 to 5 games, but I think since he took a shot at this own teammates as well as going after the fans cost him the entire season as well as his scholarship and maybe even his career.
A very stupid move.

It always sucks to see someone with talent like that ruin everything like an idiot. Most likely he didn't get into the school because of his grades so the school might not even want to keep him around if he can't play the game because he is suspended.

I'd say in this case, it was ok.

The Boise state player was dumb in the first place by taunting him and pushing him on the chest. If he does that on the street, not in a stadium, he'd start a fight every time. He was just dumb.

I am glad he got knocked out.

I hear that there was some racist taunting involved too. Not a reliable source but anyways suspending a player so quickly might be a knee jerk reaction. He deserved a proper chance to explain his actions since he might be forced to either switch universities to play football or risk dropping out completely.

Still.. a good reminder that a moment of madness can very well ruin your life prospects.
