I imagine the excuse for not starting Bishop will be something to the effect of him not doing any of this with the starters, but who's fault is that? Certainly not his.

Step 1, catch ball.

Not always a given.

I agree with a lot of what you said, but Lee made more plays in his first stint coming back from injury than Carroll ever did fully healthy.

I watched Lang quite a bit this game and he was easily the most consistent pass blocker in the second string. I think he'll have a nice future at left guard if Colledge ends up moving to LT in the next couple of years.

It seems purely political. I'd buy his jersey, if I didn't think that he will be traded before Hawk or Barnett ever will.

No. Brohm is the Joe Alexander of the Packers. It makes no sense to me why he is the designated whipping boy. It's his 2nd season. Even the Golden Child Aaron Rodgers struggled as a sophomore.

Bishop is the Ramon Sessions.

Bishop misses a lot of assignments. I don't think that should be ignored. A lot of you guys sound like basketball fans enamored with great shotblockers that are only decent defensively.

Still, it wouldn't surprise me to see him playing a lot. He's our most physical ILB and that is important. He could even eventually be a great player if he cleans up his assignments and stops whiffing on tackles going for the big hit.

Despite his lack of size, I wish we'd at least have given him a look outside after Matthews and Thompson had their injury issues. He might be able to play outside just because of his pure physicality. Poppinga blows and needs to be on the bench ASAP.
