Screw Memphis fans, that would be a disappointment to every MMA fan.

from Rampage twitter

Just 4 da stupid people camp start in Oct. Now shut up!

While its not an official announcement im pretty sure i read elsewhere (not MTV either) that he either isnt doing the movie, or isnt gonna let it interfere with the fight. I would say its still on.

Without that fight, its still a good card.
But with that fight its a sick lineup.

Looks like its just gonna be a good card

The scheduling twists are non-stop in mixed martial arts. UFC is all set to debut in Memphis with a card following "The Ultimate Fighter 10" on December 12. Why Memphis? Well, it's Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's hometown and he was expected to take on fellow TUF 10 coach Rashad Evans in a much-anticipated fight.

But according to MMABay, a British MMA site with close ties to Jackson's camp, that won't be happening. The site reports that the Evans-Jackson fight has been dumped from the card because Rampage is expected to play the role of B.A. Baracus in the new "A-Team" movie which is currently filming in Vancouver, and he would not have had time to get in full training camp before UFC 107.

UPDATE: The Sun confirmed that Jackson did get the role in "The A-Team".

Thats weak, really weak. im willing to bet that Penn/Sanchez was put on 107 to try and re-coup just in case Rampage isnt gonna fight. Dana kinda went outta his way to put that show in Memphis for Rampage and he's gonna pull out like this

MMABay and The Sun are two of the worst sources out there.

It sucks...but Rampage is going to star in a huge blockbuster movie.
He'll make A lot more money there and the potential to increase his drawing power + potential for money outside of Dana.
This blows the door open for him to star in alot of action movies in the future which will trump all of the cash offers he'd get from the UFC

I just call em like i see em, theres a chance it may not be true, but its not as though the rumors are unfounded.

I'm inclined to believe Rampage is more interested in acting than fighting myself, but I'm just saying I wouldn't waste my time with those sources.

It looks like the KenFlo-Guida fight will be moved from UFC 106 to 107 as the co-main event..

A message was posted on the Twitter account of ESPN.com's "MMA Live" that the Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida bout originally scheduled for UFC 106 in Las Vegas will now take place at UFC 107 in Memphis, Tenn.

With the reported lineup change, UFC 107 now includes:

Champ B.J. Penn vs. Diego Sanchez (for lightweight title)*
Kenny Florian vs. Clay Guida*
Cheick Kongo vs. Frank Mir*
Thiago Alves vs. Paulo Thiago*

Good going Rampage! :banghead: This has caused a lot of domino effects.

Also...

Impressive 23-year old Todd Duffee is set to be penciled in for UFC 107 after his 7-second pounding over Tim Hague. A opponent has not been determined YET.

Following his impressive seven-second win over Tim Hague at UFC 102 in August, heavyweight prospect Todd Duffee (5-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) made it clear he wanted to fight as quickly as possible.

The UFC will apparently oblige.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned from sources close to the event that Duffee has been penciled in for a slot at UFC 107 on Dec. 12 in Memphis, Tenn.

"I'm young, but I want to build my record," the 23-year-old Duffee said. "I want a legit record, and I want to do it at this level."

I think Antoni Hardonk and Moustapha Al-Turk would be good matchups for Duffee.

They should have Duffee fight Cheick Kongo and have Mir vs Nogueira II.

I've thought about this as well.

Velasquez/Rothwell
Brock/Carwin
Mir/Kongo
Dos Santos/Cro Cop

Really only leaves Nog and Couture if he stays at HW, which isnt exactly likely. I think its a good thought.

I agree with you guys. He should be fighting against a striker so we can see what his ground game is like.

Kongo versus Duffee sounds like a great fight. Have any of you seen videos of his fights though (pre-UFC)?
