OT: Non-Badger College Football Thread

Post#1 » by Mags FTW » Fri Sep 4, 2009 2:35 am

Boise St. v Oregon just started. I hope Oregon wins so there's no whining by Boise at the end of the year if they don't get a BCS bid or title shot.

I love Oregon's uniforms. I don't care what you n00bs say. Of course I'm an Oregon homer as well, so it could be my bias. :)

They have 80 different uniform combinations between pants, jerseys and helmets - talk about overkill. It's too bad not even 1 of those 80 isn't fugly.

80 different combinations and I love them all. Great uni's for both of these teams.

You're going to argue with me about fashion? Are you really sure you want to do that?

Bow to the uniform!

Boise State's commercial is probably the worst university commercial I've ever seen.

And yes, I hope Oregon can come back in the second. Down with BS-U.

What the hell was up with the Oregon QB's interception? The ball was snapped, he stood there facing forward for about a second without moving, then threw the ball right to the OLB.

Damn did Blount go crazy at the end of that Oregon/Boise State game. Some guy from BSU was taunting him as the players/coaches met on the field and he threw a punch and landed it right on the jaw. As he's going off the field, he starts getting into it with some Broncos fans and has to be restrained and escorted back to the locker room.

Kind of reminded me of the whole Ron Artest fiasco. Boring game turns into something memorable. Hopefully this d'bag is suspended for the season

Wow. just saw the footage. I would dismiss him from the team. Not only does he sucker punch someone, but when his teammate tries to cool him down, he attacks him as well. What a loser.

Also, that guy should face assault charges. It's one thing to get in a fight with someone but to attack from the side when the guys not looking. That's just a pussy move and it reminds me of Carmelo's cheap shot on Jared Jeffries. Though to Blount's credit, he didn't run away like Melo did.

Agree on the assault charges.

I remember watching Blount last season and thinking he could be a force in the NFL someday. Now it's up in the air if he'll even get drafted.

Wow, I guess I should have kept watching. I turned it off after whatever happened at :01 left (there was some sort of clock stoppage, but don't remember what).

Greg Paulus makes his first start at QB for Syracuse tomorrow on ESPN2 at 11:00 am central time. Syracuse hosts the Gophers. Should be interesting to see what Paulus has after not playing a meaningful football game in 4 years. I guess he was the #1 QB recruit coming out of high school.

I would love nothing more than to see Nevada pull off the upset against the Irish and end all of this nonsense of Notre Dame as a darkhorse title contender. Best of the early games is Georgia at Ok St. On ABC @ 2:30 CST.
