Sean Williams Question!

I have heard Sean Williams is UNTOUCHABLE ? for some odd reason
he is one of my favourite players that DO NOT get playing time
why is it that frank doesn't play him ? is there a reason ?
because i remember a long time ago , there were alot of trades that included him but he didnt get put through
he is young talent that has athleticism & rebounding skills
i think he would be a great fir beside lopez - lopez would be the primary scorer and rebounder
while williams could hustle for the boards and try to get put backs. ?
so basically- WHy doesnt new jersey play Sean Williams !

Well, he's been a complete headcase for most of last season and has very little offensive game and then we have Yi who it seems is promised minutes whether he deserves them or not and last year we also had Mr. Anderson, who was a pretty good player for a rookie.
I think he will get his chance to be a 20mpg player this year if he can smarten up both on and off the court, but one more major mess up and he is likey gone IMO.

what do you mean untouchable ? Usually in basketball context that means the organization says they will not trade him but SWAT is very tradeable on the Nets part. I assume you mean untouchable as Frank doesn't want to use him ?

Anyways the year before last SWAT was given tons of minutes playing alongside Boone & did very well until the All-Star break where it seemed teams found out how to defend him & attack his defense & SWAT couldn't counter & to this day still struggles.

He seems to be a tweener. Not big / strong enough to play effectively against other NBA 4's but due to his inconsistent jumpshot & dribble drive he is not good enough to thrive at the 3 either. He has a pattern of picking up dumb fouls being too agressive or not rotating properly on defense which is a huge no-no in a Frank defense. Last year to take advantage of Harris blazing lane penetration among other things Frank spread out the offense more (even though it was supposed to be a dribble drive offense) and took advantage of having 3 and 4 (ex. Simmons / Yi) out near the perimeter where they can't do that with SWAT who has paint range.

Right now Yi & even Boone / Najera among others will likely play the 4 spot before SWAT. SWAT himself saw that he needed to become a 3 to get minutes in the NBA but he just doesn't have it. He's a man with no position that gets frustrated easily & has issues with mental aspects both in & away from the game. Too bad since when he first came to the Nets he was a energy guy which great blocking instincts & good personality. I think he needs to take a more serious approach to his game & career to get any sort of shot in the NBA let alone the Nets.

The only person that thinks SWAT should play the 3 is SWAT. He is a 4 or undersized 5.

thanks for the info birth , but no i meant untouchable trading wise- i guess i heard wrong
but whenever i had seen him play he seemed to be so gifted and right now it seems like hes being wasted thats why i was wondering

he should straighten up sooner or later I HOPE!
so then i can see those killer drunks and swats!
i believe he can become a Pops-mensu-bonsu type of player .
