I think I posted that exact same trade but with Harping instead of Miles before. Utah fans didn't like it because they had a ridiculous amount of money tied up into like 5 or 6 players next season.

I can see that, but they already have Deron, AK, Milsap & Okur taking them over the salary cap. I'm pretty they wont be able to get far enough under the cap for it to be a worthwhile task, while still holding onto their core of Deron/Milsap/Okur. Unless they want to completely gut the team & trade AK & Miles for expirings.

I really don't understand Utah at times (or perhaps it's just their fans). Are they cutting costs or winning now? They seem to be doing neither, and with no real FA flexibility until 2011 why not swap a player who wants out for one needing to make a point and fitting a team need...

You don't think Ersan has toughness? Just because he's mainly a jump shooter doesn't mean he's not tough. Dude doesn't back down from anybody.

I've seen a lot of him in Euroleague (I talk to Osh a lot and you probably know his man love for him) and honestly, he really isn't that banger tough player most make him out to be. He'll mix it up to get rebounds but usually uses his athleticism and length to get them rather then using his body. I can honestly say I don't see him being above average at defending fours either.

On top of that I've made it clear to osh, I really think he might take steroids :P.

I know literally nothing about Ilyasova, but your description sounds a bit like Linus Kleiza. Is that a good comparison?

rhey were right for it, the package would have included more and they woldnt have rose or be a contender so it was a great move.

After the season begins when the capholds on their euro's expires Portland might be willing to offer a 2nd rd pick for Kurt Thomas. I believe it would work under the cap then.

Ehh not really. Klieza is more of a small forward where Ersan is definitely more power forward. Their offensive games I would say are pretty similar though.

w/HEAT
Ridnour, K.Thomas, C.Bell, J.Alexander, W.Sharpe *(when eligible)
for
Haslem, J.Jones, D.Wright, 2.9m TPE

Or keep it simple:

J.Alexander, W.Sharpe, 2011 #2
for
3.3 TPE
Miami is better with James Jones than Bell.
While the Heat adress its depth at PG, it create a hole at PF. Haslem and Beasley are our only legit PF. K Thomas is old and is more of center nowadays.

Counter proposal is Q-Rich for Ridnour & Thomas plus your 2nd trade proposal of Alexander for the TPE. Enough to match the offer on Sessions without exceeding the tax.

Makes too much sense for it to actually happen.

Kurt Thomas + Elson ($5,500,000 mil)
for
Buckner + Jawai ($1,798,818 after Buckner buyout)

Why for Milwaukee: They are a young team and have no use for Thomas and Elson with Bogut/Gadzuric/Jawai (part of trade) and probably would prefer the younger center to be 3rd string anyways. They have 16 players under contract right now, so waiving Buckner gets them down to 15 with just one more cut to go before they match Sessions. Most impportantly, they can match Sessions without going into the tax.

Why for Dallas: Fill out our center depth with proven vets on expiring contracts. More importanatly, Thomas+Elson+Gooden=$10 million in expiring contracts that with Gooden's contract structure may land a Kaman or Boozer level talent after Dec 15th.

Dampier / Thomas / Elson
Nowitzki / Gooden / Humphries
Marion / Thomas / Ross
Howard / Terry / Carroll
Kidd / Barea / Beaubois

Williams waived or traded w/cash for a TPE.

An addition that may be benecicial would be Carroll+Williams for Nocioni to free up a bit more 2010 payroll for the Kings. Than Dallas can look like this:

Dampier / Thomas / Elson
Nowitzki / Gooden / Humphries
Marion / Nocioni / Thomas
Howard / Terry / Ross
Kidd / Barea / Beaubois

I'm all for that, but I just don't think the Bucks view Sessions as part of their plan (whatever the hell that is) and I don't think they'll match the offer.

IMO it would be just plain stupid not to match a 4 year $16 mil offer on Sessions. Hopefully your managment is not that bad.

I don't think MIL has to rush a trade even if they match Sessions. A Thomas for Gooden swap is available after 15 Dec that would free up 2.6M (Gooden has only 1.9M guaranteed) and they can still do a variation of the above trade for Buckner.

Hammond has already proven he cannot be rushed into things he doesn't want to do, but this is a situation that can have him with a serious to do list later in the year.

Based on what? He completely rushed the Mo Williams trade. The Jefferson trade he waited to long to do and it bit him in the ass.

I think the Jefferson trade proved exactly that he cannot be rushed into things. :) That he overwaited on that is another matter...

RingtheBell wrote:We are not taking on Eddy Curry where the only incentive is Toney Douglas who would either be the 4th or 5th point guard on the roster. Just that simple. You want Curry, you're taking Gadz or giving us Jordan Hill.

Only incentive?

-$3m cash
- #2 pick
- $5m in 2009-2010 savings/Ability to resign Sessions
- $4m in 2011-2012 savings (no Bell)
- 6 for 4 trade that opens needed roster spots

I realize that the mere sight of Eddie Curry is a trade proposal going to a fan's team is not an easy thing to take in, but at try at least to be objective.

Meanwhile, where do you get Douglas is the 4th or 5th PG?
I traded 3 of your PG/combo guards so you guys sign 1 (Sessions) and add 1 (Douglas).

After the deal you guys have:
Sessions
Jennings
Douglas

Ridnour was traded
Bell was traded
Ukic was traded

I guess you consider Meeks a PG, though he looked to be a back-up SG with the all the PGs that were ahead of him prior to the trade and there was no other back-up other than Bell behind Redd.

So you would do the deal with Gadz?

Gadz, Ridnour, Elson, Sharpe

for

Curry, Douglas, Hunter, Crawford, $3m, #2, ~$3.5m in cap room
