Sabathia dominated... again. Hughes and Mo finished it off with no problems. Great win.

Hopefully this gets Burnett on one of his runs again. Great pitching in both games and dominant offense once again, and the usual lights out bullpen.

Burnett has been snake bit for about 4 starts. Those ND/L have been obscured by the recent blow outs. Very important for him to get his confidence back.

This team's confidence is something I haven't seen in a long time.

Haha...I remember in April, there was talk about "If the Yanks miss the playoffs could Girardi be fired?"

This is a completely different team to the one we saw in April. The offense sucked, the pitching was terrible and no one acted like they gave a damn. It was almost painful to watch this team play. We really turned this thing around once A-Rod got back..

Don't discount the change in the bullpen either. We went from Veras/Edwar/Albaladejo to Hughes/Aceves/Robertson. Since then the team just exploded and didn't look back. May all be a coincidence since it all happened at once, but the team just turned it on in that ATL series.

That game winning HR took no time to reach the bleacher.

don't want to get too carried away, but how good are the yankees? really.. late inning runs, walk off hits, HR's.. wow..

Melky and swisher, have been heroes all year long.... this team has a new hero every game it seems, from pitching to hitting..

all i was saying was that winning make it seem like people care and losing has the opposite effect. regardless, besides the bullpen, this team is essentially the same. you just can't take april/may too seriously in baseball. remember, how blue jays were contenders back then?
