Just wondering about Sessions...
I know that nobody has tried to make him an offer because they figure that the Bucks are just sitting there and will match it if it isn't unreasonable. However, I am curious about how this works with the fact that they have extended the $1 million QO. If Sessions doesn't take it, can he then go and sign elsewhere unfettered since he has decided to turn down the guaranteed QO and go straight FA? If this is the case and it's not tampering to contact his agent, I would say that making an offer at this point would be an interesting thought.

If he's cheap, why not? If he's expensive, no way in hell.

Petrie has no question who his PG is now. Evans in his last 3 games of summer league put up a 19/5. Mike Bibby in his first year as a starter with the Kings put up a 14/5. The fact that Evans can be better than Bibby (who was ironically only traded because his team thought he was not a PG) is very possible. Beno has zero trade value so he is the backup PG. There is no way Sessions is signed by us.

I think you should stop using SL statistics and performances as key factors of a player's success in the NBA. SL statistics should be taken as a grain of salt.
The only thing you can take from SL is that you might see an indication of how the player's tendencies are and game style they may bring to the NBA. Other than that, I don't think SL is a compelling source of a player's development IMO.

STOP USING SUMMER LEAGUE STATS TO BACK UP ARGUMENTS!!!! Look at your own stats, 3 GAMES MEANS NOTHING!!!! And this is when he's playing other rookies and a few journeymen- not Chris Paul and Deron Williams.

1. Summer is not athe only factor but is an important measurement. You just cannot say that some people who put up 20 in summer league like Anthony Randolph, Rudy Gay, Blake Griffin or Aldridge are players you want. We have 6 players (Martin/Garcia/Hawes/Thompson/Greene/Evans) who have all put avgd around 20 pts in summer league. Petrie has been rebuilding for 5 years so they took their lumps but they are built the same way now stacked with high draft picks as Portland was rebuilt.
2. I am so confident that I will be betting heavily on the over for the number of Kings wins in Vegas this year. I have never bet on the Kings. Ever. I am a person who only bets when I am very confident about something, I didn't even think about betting on us beating the Lakers in the old days. I would have never bet on a Brad Miller or Mikki Moore or Beno or Kmart or Kenny Natt lead team. I feel very confident in a Evans/Thompson/Westphal team getting near .500 this year. I also feel confident that they will developing into a conference contender in the next 2 years as I felt about the Bibby/CWebb/Adleman days.

I will bet a lunch anywhere to anyone who doubts that Evans will at least put up the same stats as Mike Bibby's first year of 14 pts and 5 asts.

Mike was clutch tho. Its not about putting up "better numbers". Numbers don't mean anything if you cant win the game. When the kings needed a score at the end of the game, Mike was huge. Evans can be that guy too, but we will have to see.
On sessions tho. I like the guy, I just think we'd have to re-shuffle our roster for it to make sense. With Udrih and Sergio as well as evans, adding another point and using our cap space doesn't make sense.

Sometimes you just have to look yourself in the mirror and say....Tyreke Evans.
That just happened.
That just happened.

My thought on Sessions is yes, but only if you have an exit strategy for Udrih.

Evans will surpass those numbers but the team and personnel are completely different.

This is a COMPLETELY contradictory statement. 1. Anthony Randolph, Blake Griffin and even Rudy Gay in the broad scheme of things have yet to prove A THING in this league. You could have picked 50 other players as better examples, but that's beside the point. You are saying that Garcia, Thompson and Greene are on the same level as Gay or Griffin? You are unbelievably high off your rocker if you think that is true. Garcia has already proved that he will never be great, Greene is still considered a project and Thompson has yet to sustain a showing of any real breakout potential.
