Raps Fan Here.
Just wondering if Jarret Jack is worth 4 years 20 million.
I was really jacked about having him in Toronto that I never really thought about the money.
Was he worth it?

Haha, you were "jacked" about having him in Toronto.

He was worth what we WERE paying him. If he keeps playing the way he did last year with the same level of productivity, he will be worth it.

Most of us here agree with Larry Bird that he wasnt worth to us what you guys were offering. However, one could argue that his toughness and slightly above average defending will have a much bigger impact on a team lacking in both those departments as well as backcourt depth.

Time will tell if he lives up to the contract you guys offered him but there is little doubt here that if we matched we would have overpaid him for this situation.

With a market like Toronto's, and much less concern for cutting costs, I think it will be a good deal for both Jack and the Raptors.

Whilst he was a good player last season, i was sick of watching him take the game winning shot and missing. Isnt that why we have a guy called granger?

So long as Bosh stays, he'll likely at least be worth the neighborhood of the money. Maybe a bit overpaid, but nothing to scoff at.

If Bosh walks, you'll likely be wanting to move Jack's contract as soon as you can as it'd be more of a burden at that point.

Yeah, it's a relatively fair contract.
I have no idea what you're talking about, and clearly, neither do you.

No. He's worth about 3 million. The thing about him is he's a good player, but not a starter and he doesn't have a position. At shooting guard he can't play defense, but at point guard he's a klutz and doesn't run the offense good enough. 5 million is too much for him.

Jarrett brings all the intangibles; the hustle, leadership, etc. He's the ultimate team player and I grew to really like him. It's a good basketball move, as well as a good business move since he's close with Bosh and might persuade him to remain in Toronto. I'll be watching many Toronto games this season to follow up on his progress.
