Some thoughts from the first day:

-Slovenia seems to be finally able to close games well, something they struggled with the past years.

-If Serbia can keep some consistency and play on a similar level like they did today, then watch out!

-Poland has actually a good team, they have homecourt and they seem very motivated. They should be considered as a serious medal candidate as well.

-Spain had their worst game in years, but they can be excused to a degree.

-Israel is going to be a pain in the ass as usual for every team facing them. Fantastic game by Eliyahu today.

The only one that might for sure be better right now is Tepic. Regardless, Teodosic is certainly the most talented player Serbia has.

the most talented player by watching pure potential is bijelica in this team. overall miljenovic is the most talented serbian right now. better for sure now are krstic, tepic and velickovic

Serbia needs to be consistent to stand a chance for getting a medal. We have a great coach (never lost at a European Championship) but are quite young.

Slovenia will be tough tomorrow, hopefully our players didn't party too hard after tonite's victory and will be ready to play.

How long do they usually take to upload the archived games on the Fiba TV website?

Thats a weird statement, unless a green font color is missed.

That's KWSN-Men/Ifeeldevotion's logic is what I think she means.

FYROM upset Israel as all these games so far have been very close and competitive the entire way (with the possible exception of Slovenia-Serbia at the moment).

Poland-Lithuania is here:

Germany beats Russia 76-73. Again gave away a lead late in the game after being up by as many as 18 right before the half, but this time hit 2 big shots and both by young players in Benzing and Schaffartzik. Almost lost it when late in the game Wysocki comes in due to foul trouble and makes a terrible inbounds pass but the russian player jumps out of bounds ... He wasn´t supposed to play (injury) but with everyone fouling out (4 players, 3 russians as well) Bauermann hesitated to bring in a young guy and went with the rusty veteran ...
Anyway, than he finally puts Lucca Staiger in and guess what ? He ices it with FTs to make it 76-71 with 8 seconds to go after Schaffartzik first misses a good shot after a great move and then goes up high to get his own board against 2 bigger players :)

a german Guard who can create shots for himself and others, this is a true novelty :o Yeah, he has a questionable shot selcetion but i for one will take that for what he brings.

Jagla with 19/11 , Schaffartzik with 13, Ohlbrecht with a good showing this time as well with 9.

I´m a happy camper right now :D

And Poland leading Lithuania by 10 and the crowd is very much into it, borderline frenzy at times :o Gortat beasting his way to 10/8 at the half, Lampe 8/6, Szubarga 12 and Logan 10.

Lakovic with a couple of questionable shots as the Serbs trim the lead. Slovenia have been really focused up until now, so let's hope they don't blow this one.

Dragic has been impressive with some bright spots, while Smodis appears to be back from injury and into the action. Boki has been the player of the game so far though.

Boy have Poland been great. Gortat, Lampe, Logan, Szubarga, and Ignerski have been a solid core.

Good stuff.

WOW. What could have been.. Great Britain fight back and get into a position where they could have pulled off what would have been the biggest upset in Eurobasket history. GB went on a huge run (14-2) and found themselves up by 4 with around 4 minutes of play left.

Spain pulled it out, but only just. Something really isn't right with the team chemistry. They look dreadful and disinterested.

It looks like Spain's run is over. Their veteran players (other than Pau) look old and washed up and their younger players all look overrated. Teams like Turkey, Serbia, and Greece look like they have a much stronger next generation.

To be fair, judging from tonight's prospective, Claver looked very promising. However I do agree, he isn't as good as I thought he would be at this stage. Then again he has been injury plagued.

The Spain-GB game became contested because of Scariolo's silly insistence on zone defense. Once Spain switched to man-to-man they played really well during the last three minutes. I honestly think that they will snap out of it and be ready for the big games.

Spain looked great in the preparation games other than Poland (and the Polish are looking to be a sleeper team to get to the semis right now), so right now i´d still expect them to pull it together.
