Series Thread: Twins @ The House of Aaron Lind | Sept. 7-10

AKA tsherkin's two cents thread, seeing as he's the only one who still posts in these things on a game-to-game basis. :P

Oh and you can even tack on a loss for me, from yesterday.

Discuss.

Heh, it's funny how I post more as we lose, but ironically, my posts have been more about the positive (aside from hating Tallet as a starter).

:D

Ricky's taking the mound today, so we'll see what he's got this late in the season... against a lineup with some nasty lefties.

God damn. There were more people in the stands at the Dome when my high school team played there in like, '05 or something.

Anyway, bases juiced and Ruiz converts with a sac fly. Good to see homie is doin' well after being Josh Towered.

They're probably not the best, but Campbell and Tabler do throw up some interesting stats. Whether or not the credit for that research goes to them.

Jays are the only non-playoff team to have more runs for than against? Or something like that? and Scutaro has been involved in the most DPs turned in the AL?

Yep...after tonight, our expected win-loss will be 70-68, nine games above reality. Last year we underachieved by seven; the year before by only four. Quite the run we're on.

That was both unexpected and awesome. Johnny Mac comes through with his second dinger of the season to give us the lead and we carried it through. Nice.

We call up a fairly young catcher who had a solid AAA season, and might be our best option as a starter next year. If you're Cito, do you:

a) Play the young guy
b) Play the old, likely-to-depart starter most of the time (he deserves it), and work the new guy in slowly.
c) Play both the old catchers and let the young guy gather hemorrhoids.

Surprisingly obvious answer.

play Kyle Phillips :P

i mean you go with a JP Arencibia/Chavez tandem personally. Work the young guy along slowly.

But it really depends upon the direction of our 2010 baseball team, if they're healthy and spend some money, you tandem it, but if they're pinch their pockets you just play Arencibia and let him take the lumps.
