Matt Harpring 13.5 years from death

Post#1 » by Ribalding » Wed Sep 9, 2009 3:22 am

Maybe you heard. Our beloved Matt Harpring is retiring. And in America, for the average male, the sad reality is retirement = 13.5 years of remaining time on this spinning blue orb we call home. So before he goes...

Try to control your emotions. Yes, this is a sad day for basketball fans the world over. I know you're hurting. Harpring retiring is heart-wrenching stuff. We're losing the fluidity - the grace and immutable honor have come to an end. He had us all. Admit it. He had us at hello - or somewhere near 'hello'. Losing him is like Lassie catching one in the face, just without the cage. (The cage only makes it easier, if we're honest with ourselves.)

So be a man. Swallow those tears. Tell your wife "there's something in my eye".

Then, tell us all your favorite Matt Harpring moment.

Let it out. Just let it out. He's headed for a better place.

Grief is for sharing.

Well I guess I'll be the first.
Hello all, my name is College Boy... If I had to choose between all of his priceless moments, I would have to say my favorite Matt Harpring moment came when he.... uh.... you know the time when um... yeah, yeah those were the good days. And that's basically how I met George Washington.

Edit: I'm sorry guys. I was getting Matt Harpring confused with Jason Bourne. My fault... yeah Matt Harpring though, no no no I hate that guy. Sorry.

This may be my proudest moment. Seriously. (How pathetic is that?)

I hope he plays juuuust long enough to piss off Joey Dorsey, truth be told. Because that would be just long enough for Joey to break his back like a piece of wet balsa wood.

Ahhh, it is but to dream.....

Remember that time Matt Harping jumped over all those trash cans in front of Arnold's Drive-In...wait that was The Fonze in an episode of Happy Days. Man Happy days had some good episodes.

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

That's because most males in America aren't professional athletes. Either you were trying to be smart or funny but you failed miserably at both, triangle face. You suffered an intellectual death long ago.

"Triangle face"? Is that like "poopy head"?

If I'm intellectually dead, I guess you'd be the one to ask.

He was a prototypical Jerry Sloan type player.
