Is Marshal worth playing this week if he in fact plays?

Depends on who you've got to replace him. Cliff Levingston would probably still stick with Holt and Benson for this week to see how Marshall does; he barely practiced with the team this preseason and offseason so he's got a lot of catching up to do.

So I take it you dislike Morgan quite a bit? He is the #1 for the niners and while they don't scare anyone he will get the looks while crabtree is out. I don't disagree but I like Morgan quite a bit this season.

Actually, I took it for granted that I'd start Bowe, even though he's against Baltimore, but would Hines Ward or Anthony Gonzalez be better starts than him?

Don't dislike the guy, but Cliff Levingston would like to see something from him first. The 9ers are going to be a running and short passing team so we'll see how it works out, and they still have Bruce as a pretty good albeit old possession receiver.

WR: Holt. He'll be Garrard's most reliable target in the passing game and will be facing a Bob Sanders-less Indy D.
RB: Moreno, though Cliff Levingston doesn't like any of them particularly well this week. Edge is new to the team and will take a few weeks to find his way while Fred Jackson's offensive line is just terrible. Moreno at least stands a chance at gaining some yards against the Bungles.

Cliff Levingston would lean toward Bowe, but Anthony Gonzalez could be a nice play against Jacksonville at home.

For Cliff Levingston's flex position, pick 1 (no PPR, standard 1 point per 10 yards rushing/receiving, 6 points per TD):
- RB Knowshon Moreno @ CIN
- WR Donnie Avery @ SEA
- WR Torry Holt @ Ind

Probably Moreno. Denver loves him, and even though they have 123493 other running backs, I think they'll want to see what he can do, especially with Marshall unlikely to be ready to be a big factor this week. Orton loves his checkdown guys so he'll get some receiving yards, and Cinci was in the bottom third last year in rushing yards allowed. Avery could be nice since the Rams will spend three quarters chucking the ball downfield trying to come back, but I'd wait a week to see how his injury is. I'd also rather not take Holt against Indy's pass defense (6th last year). As I've been saying, I'm not that experienced, but that's how I see this one...

Yea, am leaning toward Moreno right now. Cliff Levingston is a Bears fan so he's very familiar with Orton's tendency to check down early and often.

Moreno over Jackson. Gave my reasons for Moreno above. Jackson is going against New England's solid D, and they'll be playing from WAY behind all game. He'll get a lot of looks in the games to follow, but I'd go Moreno this week.

Marshall @ CIN
Walter v. NYJ
Nicks v. WAS
Clayton v. KC

I'm probably not even considering Nicks. Marshall and Clayton have the best matchups. I like the Jets defense this year, though Walter will like be the beneficiary of heavy coverage on Johnson and Daniels. Toss up for me between Marshall and Walter.

I've got Thomas but with him out I need a replacement for my second back.

Johnathon Stewart, Ward, or McClain?

I'd go Ward because he hasn't had any injury issues and will get the most playing time. Tough one though.

Lets talk kickers.

I have Bironas, but I'm afraid of the low scoring game @ Pit. Should I pickup Elam vs Mia or Hartley vs Det or Vinatieri vs Jac this week instead??? I'm thinking Hartley but could use any suggestions. Scoring FG is 3pts, PAT is 1 pt, 50+ FG is 5 extra points.

I don't dislike Holt, but any decent back against Denver sounds good to me....

Any thoughts on Mike Bell vs Detroit...Looks like PT might not play. I can play Bell or LaRon McClain, who also has a great matchup vs KC, but may not get many touches.
