I don't think the people who say that Blake Griffin is too high understand what this was about. It's not the best players, it's who would your team give up the most for. I think Griffin may be too low. Would you really give up more for Chris Bosh, or Dirk Nowitzki, who both have one year left and then can leave you with NOTHING, or Griffin who you get for 5 years at a rookie scale? If Bosh had 3-4 years left, of course he's worth more, but if I'm a fan I'd give up very little for Bosh because you don't know if you can keep him.

I think Aldridge would have made this list if he had a contract. I had trouble voting for him without one. I'm just shocked that Anthony Randolph and Bargnani weren't voted on here....

Explain the team awards.

Brook Lopez and Blake Griffin look like they could be brothers.

Bad rankings. Age and salary were clearly not taken into consideration.

I dunno...the first two names that jump out at me as being too high are Derrick Rose and Al Jefferson. But then I am one who highly values (and perhaps overvalues) cachet.

I think this is a solid list- not great, not terrible. Outside of switching a name or two here and there, I would call these my biggest issues:

Duncan at 11- he's going on 34 years old... Who would value a 34 year old that highly no matter who they are. For example, if I wanted to trade for a big, I would go after Jefferson 10 out of 10 times over Duncan.

Garnett at 17- same as duncan

Oden at 25- two years in the league should mean that he needs to prove something instead of skate by on potential alone.

first team is players that moved up, second team is players that moved down, third team is 1st time appearances on the list.

and oden isn't there on potential alone. when oden is on the court, he produces at a very high level, better than any young center out there (bynum, bogut, biedrins, lopez, etc)

Why are people trying to devalue Bosh because he's a 1 year rental? Can't the same be said for LeBron or Wade?

I think KG and Duncan should be a lot closer

LeBron and Wade are true franchise players. Bosh and Amare are not. That is why does two saw their ranks go down from last year.

As for KG vs. Duncan, For me personally the gap is because Garnett's health status is a lot more up in the air right now because of the knee surgery.

You guys make it seem like when Oden was on the court last year he was the second coming of Mark Blount. Yeah the guy had some foul troubles, but he can get over that. And you can't tell me that alot of those calls weren't rookie hazing by the officials, some calls were down right laughable.

Whereas everyone else's fouls were always 100% accurate? Sorry. "Legitimacy of fouls called" is WAY too subjective to have much weight in trade value.

Pretty much every game Oden played in he had, two fouls that were good fouls, two fouls you wondered what he was thinking, and two fouls you wondered what the official was thinking.

All his opponent had to do was hook Oden's arm and the whistle was blown. Belittle it if you like but Oden's foul problems weren't ALL his fault.
