Great opening game.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 1
i hope roethlisberger breaks his leg
wouldn't have to be out for the whole season, just 11 or 12 games to guarantee that they won't win the division

Re: Around the NFL: Week 1
The Steelers are my second favorite team. When the Packers suck and/or once they are out of the playoffs, they are the team I root for.
Here is to hoping for a Steelers win and a Packers vs. Steelers show down in the Super Bowl... In which Rodgers drops 5 TDs on their D and we blow them out.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 1
Jerrod, the Ravens are a fun team to watch, I mean almost all NFL teams are watchable, but I just like how teams like the Ravens, Steelers, Titans just run the ball first and let their defense try to win the game for them. Ray Lewis is still good, but back in his prime dude was a beast all over the field. I used to be a big Titans fan cause of Eddie George, and well with the Steelers there just good. With all that said I hope they all die when we play those teams

Re: Around the NFL: Week 1
Tenn is 11-3 SU against Pitt in their last 14 and whipped them in Tenn last season. But I have a hard time picking against the SB champs in their home opener.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 1
you guys don't know the pain of having a late lead on the steelers and then watching in horror as you blitz and get great penetration while roethlisberger calmly strolls around the pocket while reading the paper and checking his email and then throws perfect 30 yard passes over and over again.
it's nauseating
enjoy!

Let's go Titans.
Don't mind the Steelers, though.

IMO (the Steelers being my second favorite team), Roethlisberger is a top 5 QB.
The guy may not put up huge stats, he may not always carry his team to victory... But when it comes down to it, the guy wins and it isn't just his defense carrying him... When the games are on the line, he just seems to pick that time to take over.
One of the most underrated players in the entire NFL.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 1
i'm so in the mood for football.
this isn't really week 1 stuff but kind of interesting.

Game I'm Looking Forward To Most
Trevor Pryce and Willie Parker :: John Biever/SI
King
Ravens at Steelers, Dec. 27: With due respect to Manning-Brady on Nov. 15, Baltimore-Pittsburgh's the best rivalry game in football right now, and a game in Week 16 with the two will have almost certain major playoff implications.
Banks
Vikings at Packers, Nov. 1: For drama, this may be a one-of-a-kind game in NFL history. Favre at Lambeau, wearing Vikings horns on his helmet. Has there ever been a bigger role reversal?
Trotter
Titans at Steelers, Sept. 10: Because, to quote the Bill Belichicks of the world, it's the next game. Plus, this was supposed to be the AFC championship game last season, and the Steelers haven't forgotten how the Titans treated the Terrible Towel in their victory late last season. It will set the tone for the season.
Tucker
Vikings at Packers, Nov. 1: Seriously? If you don't know why you shouldn't even be reading this because you really haven't been paying attention.
Hack
Patriots at Colts, Nov. 15: It's not exactly Magic and Bird, but watching Tom Brady and Peyton Manning throwing spirals on the same field is as good as it gets. Can't wait for these heavyweights to get it on.
Jenkins
Patriots at Colts, Nov. 15: The Patriots and Colts played last season, but without Tom Brady, the rivalry took a one-year hiatus. It should return in force.
Lopez
Vikings at Packers, Nov. 1: Admit it. No matter how fed up you (and I) got over the whole Brett Favre will-he-or-won't-he thing, you're going to watch his return to Green Bay.
Duerson
Bears at Packers, Sept. 13: Why look past Week 1? Bears-Packers sets the tone in the best division in football, featuring two of the most exciting gunslingers in the game. A must-win for the Bears, who could potentially be 1-4 after opening with Packers, Steelers, Seahawks, Lions and Falcons.
Bonvissuto
Ravens at Packers, Dec. 7: A Monday night game at Lambeau Field in December between what could be the AFC's best defense vs. the NFC's best offense? Sign me up.

Re: Around the NFL: Week 1
The money is definitely on Pitt. Line went from 5.5 to 6 and now 6.5. I doubt it hits 7, it would take a huge boatload of cash on Pitt to move it to that level.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Having the Black Eyed Peas and that other band whoever it is there is incredibly pointless.
