IFD, I know Pekovic is talented, but I doubt he comes over to the NBA to come off the bench. For the wolves it would be great if he was our 25-30min 3rd big man, but I think Pekovic only comes over if he is starting. Thus I believe his rights are traded.

I hope the Wolves trade him. He's a much better player than simply being a backup.

You don't think he'd be happy with 30 mins a game? C + PF is 96 mins...

Jefferson- 32 mins
Love- 32 mins
Pekovic- 30 mins
Hollins- 2 mins and foul trouble spot minutes

If your best two players are only getting 32 minutes a game, Kurt Rambis wouldn't have a job.

Last time I checked Greg Popovic still had a job...

Offensively I think it would be awesome to give Al, Love and Pekovic around 30-34 minutes a night. 3 guys who can score down low like that would be very hard for opposing teams to handle when you're keeping them very fresh. More of a European approach to things if you will.

The problem I see is that everyone seems gung-ho about an exciting running team, yet you would have these three great bigs who play their best basketball in the half-court. Sessions and Flynn are better fits for the up-tempo game. Yet this team doesn't have the best wings to run out and fill the lanes either. It's kind of a mess really when you're thinking of trying to implement a system. Sessions doesn't have great command of running an NBA half-court offense, and is much better suited to freelancing and pushing the ball (If Mil lets him walk, it's partially because Skiles doubts his command of his offense).

I still think the team can come together a bit and you can find some common ground in terms of the strengths of this group of players, but I'm not sure the super-high octane offense would be best for this team.

nice insight Wii. Is Rubio a better fit as a half court general than Flynn/Sessions?

I'll admit I don't have extensive knowledge of Pekovic, but the little I've seen he's done a decent job of running the floor, or getting early baskets off a secondary break. At least better than Jefferson, it seems.

He doesn't run as well as Jefferson. I just looked it up, and he scores .3 times per game in transition.

Like I said, I don't have extensive knowledge on it, just the few clips I've seen of him he seemed to get a few baskets in transition or in an active offense. But that could have been just the result of limited highlight videos.

Thanks for clearing that up, though.

I watched 3 or 4 games of his last year and I didn't see him in transition one time.

How hard it is to remember how many games you watched when you only watched 3 or 4 games? LOL

Here's one of the videos I was referring to when I mentioned youtube clips.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZuPVqTk3ys&feature=fvw

Specifically mentions dunks in transition.

It's interesting looking at that video, which is 2 years old and he's and good shape, and more recent videos where he looks like a ripped beast. He's going to hurt someone. Also interesting noticing some of the poor passes he receives. Hope to see him over here playing with better teammates/passers and seeing just how good he can be.
