This match has everything. Intense rivalry go back to the old school. Titans beatin the Steelers 31-14 w/o their two best D-linemen Haynesworth(moved on with Redskins) and KVB. Towel stompin. Nate Washington switchin teams and tellin all on his former team. How the Titans tripped up the chance to meet the Steelers in the playoffs. How Titans fans and Steelers fans keep goin back and forth on who's the better team. Can't ask for a greater rivalry. All it needs now is the fans here on RGM to make an appearance. NFL is back in session. Bring the noise! Bring the rain! Bring the pain!

As much of a fan I am to these two teams. I'm leaning on the Steelers pullin this one out.

Steelers 24
Titans 21

The Titans beat the Steelers last time at home and w/o Haynesworth and KVB on their D-line. I expect this game to be pretty tight from start to finish.

It was a good win and a tight game as expected. Polomalu was on fire in the first quarter goin after CJ on one play and even pickin up a couple of PFs along the way. I hate that he hurt his knee, but the Steelers manage to pick up the slack w/o him.

Big Ben was his usual self tonight gettin the plays in when it was needed most. Also holdin the ball too long at times. Which leads to the O-line. The O-line hasn't changed much since last season. 50/50 chance they will hold their own protectin the QB and sometimes they collaspe.

Santonio Holmes was on it 2nite with catchin the passes along with Hines Ward despite gettin the ball stripped by Michael Griffin and recover by the Titans.

The runnin game as you put it earlier canomad wasn't existent 2nite. That's just how well the Titans play on defense. They are capable of shuttin down the run with a frontline as solid as theirs. The Titans was a bit better, but not as much as they nor myslef would like. That's how good the Steelers defense is against the run.

Otherwise, good game and good win for the Steelers as they got off to a good start. Hopefully Polomalu will be back in ten days as they take on the Bears in their next game.

Man I hate Troy went down, 3-6 is a long time without an All-Pro safety. Guess Clark will have to step up. Even though he was having lapses out there tonight. Oh we got the WIN !

Just heard the news. Big loss for the Steelers. Don't feel the same w/o Polomalu emphatic hits on defense.
