Eagles opened at -1, now it's up to -2.5. Very surprised to see the Panthers an increasing home dog to a team with as many questions as the Eagles. Looks like the playoff hangover applies to Vegas too. Of course if Jake has one of his legendary bad days...
Edited thread title to include teams involved.

Week 1: Eagles @ Panthers
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Re: Week 1: Eagles @ Panthers
I have the Panthers in this one. I'm still stunned people have the Eagles in the NFC final or Superbowl without Dawkins. As far as I'm concerned, they learned exactly why you don't lowball your team MVP. (Yes, I'd call him that.) Now the poor guy's rotting in Denver, albeit by his own fault, and the Eagles' defence won't be the same. I mean hey, even if Delhomme has a bad game, there's no Dawkins to pick off his passes now.
The Panthers are at home, are a better team and have more continuity from last year to this one - other than the Arizona game past the first drive. They must've been seething watching the Superbowl, knowing they should've been there. If they're healthy, I think they can be better than the experts say. Of course, if you're banking on every team having injuries, the Panthers don't exactly win a battle of attrition with anyone.
As an aside, I'm planning to write an article on this game - make sure to read it and tell me what you think!

I'm sick to my stomach. I cannot believe we gave this guy an extension. And now we have no first round pick next year. San Fran is likely going to have a Top 10 pick from us. If this season goes south as it seems, Fox and Hurney will be run out of town.

The season started off pretty good, but yea, I'm only a casual football fan so I wasn't remembering that Delhomme was extended. Now things seem really bleak.

Something about Delhomme having one of his legendary bad days...
The secondary clearly missed Ken Lucas a lot more than they thought they would too.

The sky is falling... stop being such a Raptors fan.

As long as our QB doesn't throw four picks, our O-line doesn't look like one of those swinging saloon doors, our safeties act like they're playing football and we don't botch a bunch of special teams plays, we win that game.

Seriously, the team depth chart this morning was horrifying. Chris Harris listed as injured and with no backup, and then the backup FS listed as injured too. I hope John Fox can play safety.
