Jays At Yanks

Post#1 » by TKF » Wed Sep 16, 2009 1:03 am

Geez. At this rate, with boston winning games and the yanks struggling, our lead can be cut to 6.5 tonight, and it can get worse with the way everyone not named CC sebathia is pitching... tonight we get 10 his so far off halliday and just get 2 runs, while this bum mitre gives up 5 runs on 4 Homers? wow, I really worry about this starting pitching.. we need to win this series vs the jays. plain and simple. time to wrap this division up..

How can anyone start mitre and seriously expect to win... this guy is a bum!!!!!!!!!!!

I am convinced that girardi has no intentions of trying to win games with this clown starting. down 5-2 he gives up a single , hits a batter with a changeup... geez. and gives up a double.. this clown is not a major league pitcher!!!!!!!!!!

This yankee team is limping down the stretch while the red sox are comming on strong. We are looking like a one trick pony and that is CC sebathia. It seems like we fold vs decent pitchers, and beat up on weak bull pens to score runs....

I am not happy with the way things are looking. I mean the blue jays in a meaningless game for them, lets halliday throw 112 pitches through 6 innings.. LOL.... boy doesn't girardi see that teams still love beating the yanks? yet he marches out clowns like mitre.. guaranteed loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't really know why people are complaining about Girardi. These games don't mean anything and mitre isn't gonna be on our postseason roster..

We're 7 games ahead of the Red sox with 19 games left. we can stand to lose a game or two, especially when we have no one else to start.. calm down people..

Not true, unless the HBP was intentional(which it wasn't) why expect a retaliation, doesn't make any sense.

And how exactly has this team "lost it's focus"... we're 10-4 in September..

No offense, but you really need to stop talking out of your ass..

Yet we're 10-4 in September..

The red sox are 9-4 WITH buchholz pitching over his head..

Angels are 8-6..

Detroit are 8-6..

so...

6.5, but why not put this away? why not go into our final series vs boston up 9 games instead of giving them hope of sweeping us and having a shot at the division.... we are limping... these games do have meaning..

I'm not saying, that it's ok to lose every game. We were up against the best pitcher in the AL, we threw mitre out their, are you really disappointed with the team for losing. Sure people are gonna say; why start mitre then? well who else would we start?

Pettitte is gonna miss a start therefor Gaudin takes his spot, who? Aceves? a AAA pitcher in Michael Dunn??

and these are the things that worry me.. other than CC who else can we rely on? I mean we are expected to win the AL east, although we are losing some games now. 6.5 game lead surely should get it done, but I think, most want to blow this division away and rest some guys... Honestly, I would rather start a AAA pitcher over mitre... He is god awful!!!

i dont necessarily care for this loss as much as Im worried about SP in the playoffs, Dice K is back so now the sox pitching is 4 deep and the tigers are 3 deep....we really dont have the sp to match that

the thing is CC looks like he will be money. Andy will give a good playoff start, and is capable of great starts like he had in cleveland a couple of years ago..

The question mark is burnett. If he has his stuff, he can be as dominant as any pitcher in the playoffs... If that joker is on, then we are OK, I don't care who we face....
