Need expert opinions...can my team win?

Post#1 » by RockyX34 » Thu Sep 17, 2009 6:44 am

What am I weak in? What are my strong points?

12 Man H2H League. Not a keeper league.

Positions:
PG, SG,G, SF, PF, F, C, Util, Util, Util, BN, BN, BN

Categories:
FG%, FTM, 3PTM, Pts, Asts, Rebs, Blocks, Steals, and TOs

PGs:
Chris Paul
Jason Kidd
Rajon Rondo

PG/SG:
Rudy Fernandez

SG/SF:
Paul Pierce
Josh Howard
JR Smith

SF:
Carmelo Anthony

SF/PF:
Al Thornton

PF/C:
Chris Andersen

C:
Andris Biedrins
Andrew Bogut
Brendan Haywood

Points: I'm hoping Pierce/CP3/Melo/Thornton/Howard/Smith will be enough.
Assists: CP3/Kidd/Rondo...easy win every week.
Rebs: I'm banking on Biedrins/Bogut/Haywood being healthy. If they are, I should be okay. Also, my SFs and PGs rack in 5-7 board each, this should help quite a bit.
Blks: Chris Andersen is my main blocker, I hope Bogut/Haywood/Biedrins can pull through, otherwise, I'm really weak here.
Steals: Same as assists
3PT: Smith/Rudy/Kidd/Pierce can knock 'em in.
FTM: Pierce/CP3/Melo should keep me afloat...barely.
FG%: Should be very high, I have no chuckers.
TOs: Not sure here, all high profile players have plenty of 'em.

Points: Above average
Assists:Elite
Rebs:Average
Blocks:Slightly above average
Steals:Elite
3 ptm:Above average
FTM:Below average
FG%:Average(Thornton hurts you a bit;Smith can have pretty rough weeks too)
TO:Average

Looks more like a roto team than H2H team.No weak categories, two strong cats and lots of cats around average. Also a lot of health concerns. Melo always finds a way to miss 5-10 games.Smith is already out 7 games and Bogut/Haywood/Howard carry a lot of risk in terms of health. Biedrins hasnt been exactly durable either. Please note that three of your 4 bigs carry injury risks. I'd recommend tanking blocks and going for small ball. Trading Biedrins+Bogut+Andersen+Haywood+Thornton for players like Murphy-Okur-Harrington(basically all center/pf eligible players who can hit 3's)-R.Jefferson(FTM help)-Maggette(FTM help) will help you immensely in 3's/points/ftm. Basically IMO you should try to be very strong at 5 cats(Points/Assists/Steals/3's/FTM);competitive in 3 others (FG%;Rebounds/Turnovers) and tank blocks altogether.

BTW are you sure it is FTM,not FT%?

You should hold on to Anderson for easy wins against other small ball teams.
